still don't understand why

Don't understand why some of the services not cover. Like office visit, without it how the doctor exam reily and perform proper diagnose ? then treat his injury ? I thought when Reily's bill come all I have to do is pay the the deductible ($500). Worry free, isn't why I want to get pet insurance.

Caring, easy processing and quick turn around!

It was a huge comfort to know we had Healthy Paws behind us when our dog, George, went into surgery. It made a really tough decision so much easier. The claim process is so simple and the representatives replied within hours, approving the claim.

Embrace helps through tough times!

Last year, Sophie, my 6 year old Pomeranian started limping right before our big move from Texas to California. Stressed about the move and now worried about my fur-child, I knew Soph needed to be seen immediately! Her regular Vet ensured that it was a luxating patella, which is common in Pomeranians, but to keep an eye if the limping persists. Sure enough, as soon as we arrived to California, it had gotten to the point that Soph wasn't even using her left hind leg at all. I took her in for X-rays and next I'm scheduling Soph for surgery later that week. Everything had happened so fast! Four months post-surgery - Sophie was doing okay, but still not using her left hind leg. It broke my heart, I just wanted my fur-child back to her happy self. I had Soph taken in for Physical Therapy 2 times a week for 2 months. With a lot of time and a lot of patience, Soph is finally using her left hind leg now. It has been a long process, but I am thankful Sophie is doing better now. Thanks to Embrace, their insurance coverage has been able to make all of this possible for Sophie!

Healthy Paws saved my dog, Louis

I got Healthy Paws coverage for my French Bulldog Louis when he was seven years old. The monthly payment was reasonable enough, and I felt good just knowing that Louis would be protected in the event that the worst happened. I have 90% coverage with a $250 deductible. Well, just before he turned ten, the worst happened: Louis was diagnosed with a tumor in his brain and on the base of his heart. He had swelling in the brain from the physical presence of the tumor, causing him a great deal of pain. He couldn't walk, he started having seizures; it was heartbreaking. I felt terrified and helpless. The vet neurologist said that Louis would either need a significant amount of treatment to relieve his pain and improve his circumstances, or else he should be put to sleep. In NO WAY was I mentally or emotionally prepared to say goodbye to my sweet boy. The vet said that with the correct treatment, Louis had a chance, and because I had Healthy Paws coverage, I didn't even have to think twice: Louis would get the treatment he needed. He had to get multiple MRIs, an echocardiogram, have a brain surgery to have a shunt placed to remove the fluid. He was in the hospital for almost a week, and now (once his skin heals from the brain surgery) he will be getting radiation treatments. The prognosis after successful treatment is 1 - 2 more good years. None of this would have been possible without Healthy Paws. Healthy Paws covered (or will cover) EVERYTHING (except the standard exam fees) - the hospitalization, the diagnostic tests, the medications, the brain surgery, the radiation treatments - all of it. Healthy Paws without a doubt saved my beloved dog Louis, because I just could not have afforded the treatment that was necessary to give Louis more good time without them. In addition, the vet hospital would submit the claim, and I would hear back from Healthy Paws that same day. So far, I have the check to cover each of the treatments that Louis has received in less than a week. This has made a huge difference, because I have had to put $6000 at a time on my credit card. If the Healthy Paws payments had not come in as fast as they did, I would have been unable to pay for the next round of treatment. I am grateful everyday for the extra time I get with Louis, and without question I have Healthy Paws to thank for it. Signing up for Healthy Paws pet health insurance was the smartest thing I ever did.

100% recommend

I have had VPI pet insurance for three years. I decided to get it after my puppy spent more time in the vet her first year of life than at home--she had so many skin issues and it cost me so much money. Since then, she hasn't had too many issues with her skin but has had two surgeries, along with her annual appointments. VPI has always received my claim and issued me a check promptly and it's always a sufficient amount. You end up paying a monthly fee for pet insurance but when you go to the vet and your bill is $600 and you get $480 back, it ends up being worth it. I usually break about even but it's a lot easier to swallow than coughing up $600 when you didn't expect to. I think VPI pet insurance is great and would definitely recommend for pet owners!

LOVE UR DOG..MAKE SURE HE IS INSURED

my dog was recently in the emergency room she wouldnot stop vomiting blood. i had never been so scared before. she wouldnot stop losing blood. thank god vets took care inmediately as soon as i got there. yes, bills are extremely expensive and accidents happens in 2 seconds. all those hours i was only focused on making sure she was receiving the best care possible. she was extremely dehydrated, had lost too much blood but thank god the vet stabilized her and she is home with me now getting better. the day after, i uploaded a picture of the invoice and medical records and in less than 2 days they had processed my claim. then, the week following she had her follow up appointment. i scanned them the receipt and in less than 30 min the claim was processed. i could not be happier. my little girl was getting better and healthy paws always taking care of claims as fast as they can. I honestly could not be happier with them, not only do they process everything fast. but they also keep with touch with you asking how is your dog doing and sending her their best wishes. if you are considering pet insurance, healthy paws is in my humble opinion your best option.

Thank goodness I have VPI insurance for my Bischon

After a very expensive surgery to remove a bladder stone on my 3 year old Bischon, I started to research pet insurance companies. I checked on VPI and liked what I read. I signed Roxie up in Jan 2014. The bladder stone problem was a pre-existing condition that would not be covered but I figured in case of an accident it would be beneficial to have insurance to fall back on. 2014 was fairly uneventful, she had 2 foot infections (due to excessive licking) and VPI paid well. The monthly cost & what I was reimbursed were a difference of $12. Already in 2015 the insurance has reimbursed me more than the monthly fees will cost me. She was diagnosed with hemmorhagic gastroenteritis - we almost lost her! After several rough days & nights, 2 hospital stays, 3 hydration treatments and numerous medications, she is well again. The vet bill was close to $1,000 and I am very glad to report that VPI paid all but about $150 ($100 was my deductable). My vets office submitted each claim and everything was paid quickly with no questions. Having the insurance makes going to the vet a lot less stressful and so much easier on the pocketbook

No coverage yet

I'm really upset with this insurance. I have a boxer who has just torn something in his leg as he limps around a lot, it's pretty sad to see him this way as I can tell he is in pain. I called to ask them if by some chance he would be covered. They told me that if it was a torn acl or ccl that I would at least have to have the policy for 12 months before he can be covered. I feel my dog is family and with medical insurance I do not have to wait for anything to be covered. I pay 50$ a month and now have to wait 12 before I can do anything to my boxer? I just don't feel it's fair. I am probably going to cancel this and may have to take a loan out to help "my child" get out of pain. So disappointed.

BEST INSURANCE HANDS DOWN

Healthy Paws is the best insurance ever. they are a hassle free organization. my goldendoodle has had two major surgerys in the last 8 months . both were thousands of dollars . the claims were submitted and the surgeon was paid the day of surgery both times. This has cost me a small fraction of what it could have been if I had not had healthy paws. The entire process was easy and they are Darling people who truly care about Animals and keeping them healthy. Never was I questioned about cost . They assumed total financial responsibility with out questions asked ! I HIGHLY suggest getting this insurance for your loved pet ..you just never know when an accident can happen ! truly the BEST!
