Great Customer Service
It took a little longer for my claim to be approved than I expected, since I had already got pre-approved before the surgery. But overall, trupanion has great customer service and is efficient and clear. There's no hidden surprises and always someone available to walk you through the process.

Our dog broke two molars while chewing on a bone. The doctor recommended surgery to repair the injury. We submitted the claim. The response was that Trupanion does not pay for teeth cleaning?????

Pet insurance is a nice concept, but it's only affordable to me at the biggest deductible level. I may be better off just saving the same amount for emergencies. However, I have found nothing but kindness and compassion from the trupanion agents. Your empathy for the very unrighteous death of my baby Rudy surpasses anything expressed by anyone else -- thank you for your kindness in sending a note of sympathy for him...he will be missed more than anyone can understand.
