My dog got ahold of a larger dog's dog treat and ate the whole thing. She was in the hospital for 24 hours and the bill was over $800. I am so happy I signed up for Pets Best. With my $100 deductible and 90% coverage I paid less than $200 for her treatment. What a blessing. In the past, I had VPI insurance for another dog and their benefits schedule was terrible. I like Pets Best because they pay based on what your vet bill is. I submitted my claim and about a week later they paid my claim and sent the money to my bank account. Their rates are also reasonable. I highly recommend them!!

We think our little 5 month old Golden Retriever ate something poisonous and got liver failure from it. We are still doing blood work every week to monitor his liver toxicity/enzymes level however he is doing a lot better physically! he was hospitalized for 5 days and during this trivial time, healthy paws was god send to us. They gave me some peace and sanity during this time as my hospital bills racked up. Thanks so much to everyone at healthy paws for supporting our finances during this time. I am so fortunate to have found them!!! Everything has been the simplest, easy and efficient. All we had to do was take a photo with the app on my phone, and they would reimburse us within days! Without them, I honestly don't know if I can even afford all the expenses and hospitalization to keep my baby alive. They were just what we needed during this difficult time. Thank you!!! Hunter appeared to be lethargic and wouldn't even respond to our voice. He just lay in the snow stretched out, barely moving. He was rushed to the 404 Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Newmarket, ON, where a team of specialists attended him. He was diagnosed with Renal Failure and had less than 25% function. We had to have him in ICU for 5 days! You can only imagine the expense to have him with 24 hour care. We were able to take him home after the 5th day and the Hospital submitted our claim to Trupanion on our behalf. Within 24 hours we had confirmation they had our claim. Within 72 hours we had notice our claim was being processed. To our surprise, we received our reimbursment within 10 days from the original submission. Trupanion continues to reimburse us for all our follow up visits and medication. We have been reimbursed over $10,000.00 dollars since it all began. I can't imagine having to bear this burden alone and am thankful that the tough decisions for treatment were less stressful knowing we had Hunter covered with Trupanion. We spoke with others at the hospital and they told us of limits and actually being cut off because their claim was too high. I am SOOOO glad we decided to get Trupainion for Hunter when he was still a puppy at 8 months old. Our Hunter is now 4 years old and hopefully will grow old with us. Thank You Trupanion for helping us to give Hunter the best possible care !!!

VPI- please add ferret to your questions below- I had to pick cat because my choices were only dog or cat. Thanks! Marshmallow my little ferret was withdrawn and not eating, not like her at all. I brought her to the vet, who after X-rays and ultrasound found that Marshmallow had a blockage. Marshmallow had surgery that evening and the vet removed a cosmetics tip applicator from her. I never thought I would actually need insurance, but thankfully I had it and was able to get my baby the care that she needed. I will never be without insurance for my pets. VPI reimbursed me $930, which more than covers the cost of Marshmallow's insurance for years to come. Very much worth it both financially and for peace of mind. Thank you VPI.

I have had pet insurance with healthy paws for 5 years now and I love them. They are always prompt and easy to deal with. They have covered exactly what they promise. I never have to hassle with them to cover the expenses.
