Good service
As good as the service is I find that your premiums went way out of site this last increase over $300 if this becomes a yearly increase I won't be able to afford to continue with Nationwide

Claims process was easy, we were disappointed in the amount of the coverage.
The new online claims process was incredibly easy. It was also very fast. I also like the new direct deposit feature. I was disappointed though in the amount of the coverage on our claim. It only covered about 20% of the actual cost of the procedure.

I can't believe I waited this long for Pet Insurance!
I've been very impressed with the ease of processing claims, the speed the claim is paid, and the clarity of the explanation of benefits.

Great Service
Glad to have Nationwide for pet coverage. Especially like how easy it is to file claims. Also the help line is a great tool. Really like it that I can use the live chat to get help.

Processed claim quickly but paid next to nothing.
I was really surprised at how easy it was to file the claim and how quickly it was processed. Unfortunately, getting $34.20 back on a $348.00 claim was not all that helpful. Will need to review renewing.

Embrace is the Best
We have 2 german shepherds and both have had to use their insurance quiet a bit. We enrolled over 5 years ago, and never had any issues with any claim. They pay promptly, unless I didn't do my end correctly. I always stay on top of just to make sure i didnt mess up.. The staff,, 100% of them have treated me as though I am their only client. I feel their cost is fair. And you get what you pay for. One of our shepherds had his 2nd ACL surgery done in 2 years. Each approx $3800. They paid 80% on both minus 20% which is my share. My other one has had elbow dysplasia surgery, close to $2700. Again paid 80%. We could never had all these surgeries without high limit credit card.

BEWARE!!!!
BEWARE!!!!! Read the very fine print! I never write reviews, but apparently this company is beginning to accumulate several in the past month. We have had two bad experiences. At the recommendation of a highly respected vet, while in the office for first visit, we chose Trupanion. Supposedly the puppy check required by the breeder wouldn't be covered. Dog got a clean bill of health. We were told coverage would be retroactive starting with that visit. A week later, the dog started gnawing on her back leg. We took her back and the vet provided something (Which I don't remember.) We asked that the bill be sent to insurance. IT WAS REJECTED FOR A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION! How does one have a pre-exisitng condition when the week before the dog was healthy? We appealed a couple of times and gave up. During my due diligence, right after the first visit, I had called Trupanion and spoke with someone about spaying the dog (As required by the breeder) they said it would be partially covered. (The vet had also said the same thing) So we thought it would be a good tradeoff, insurance would help lower the cost. We just had our dog spayed, and Trupanion rejected the claim. No elective surgery and another pre-existing condition. Maybe the website has always read as it does now, but I am generally pretty careful about financial matters and am pretty sure I would have caught some of the carefully worded phrases. We are out over $400 for premiums!
