Kept Promise of Service

The Embrace Pet Insurance program is amazing! My Bella became ill and it was with ease to make my claims and I received reimbursement within days. To select and set up my insurance plan was easy as the various plans were understandable and the website user friendly. When I needed to make a claim the forms were easy to fill out and send in. Within days, my vet had been contacted and payment was issued. Additionally, the ability to receive benefits within the Wellness program is a great way to recover some of the expenses that pet owners spend on their loved ones.

Puppy Pyoderma chronic--by who's definition?

Pretty disappointed by our most recent interaction with Embrace. Our puppy was diagnosed with puppy pyoderma at their first Vet check, something the Vet noted to be very normal for any puppy, and now that it's gone we're getting slapped with a $100 payment claiming chronic condition ... chronic by their definition being noted prior to the end of the waiting period NOT the medical definition of lasting for 6 months or longer. Sorely disappointed, Embrace. Advice to new Embrace members--don't mention ANYTHING to your Vet because apparently it will only result in providing Embrace with an excuse to keep any addition incoming funds. Thanks for nothing?

Trupanion cares about your pet and cares about you

One of my two sibling cats wasn't behaving his usual "cuddle bug" self. Felix had vomited a couple times before I went to bed, I thought it was just a fur ball thing. When I awoke the next morning, I found that he had been vomiting throughout the night. Felix didn't eat, drink, go to the washroom or play with his brother at all that day. He would sleep and when I would pick him up, he would jump down and go hide. I felt like I was watching my cat die right before my eyes. It was Saturday afternoon and my regular vet was closed for the day, so I brought him to a 24 hour veterinary clinic where they kept him to run some tests. It was determined that Felix had a blockage (foreign body) in his intestines. In the process of preparing him to operate, he vomited up the tube that they had inserted and in doing so, he went into respiratory failure. As such, they could not continue with the operation. It was suggested that I take Felix to a facility that had a critical care unit and specialists that would watch over him. I transported Felix to another facility where they kept him for 6 days. During that time, Felix had a series of blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound and a successful operation to remove a fur ball from his intestines. The two facilities that I dealt with were great and submitted the claims to Trupanion upon my leaving. Trupanion had received my claim and sent me an e-mail within a couple of days to let me know and thanked me for taking such good care of Felix.

Blown out knee saved

Thank you Healthy Paws for helping me get my Rotweiler/Hound mix get back to doing what he loves best, running and playing! When he was a puppy I thought he had eaten a sewing needle and although we got through that okay I quickly bought pet insurance the next day and I'm so glad I did because I was able to get him the surgery he needed when he hurt his back leg. They refunded the cost of the surgery in about two days, can you imagine? 2 days! Now that's customer service!

Excellent medical coverage

I have 3 policies for my three dogs and have had them for 4+ years (depending on when I rescued each dog). My older dog developed Cushing's Disease about 8 months ago and the medical bills have been very high. ASPCA pet insurance has reimbursed me as promised and it has helped me so much to care for Missy. I never have to compromise my decisions regarding her care because of money. I am confident that 80% of allowable charges will be reimbursed (after the deductible)and that helps so much. My second dog has had some joint issues, a UTI and a skin infection. Again, what was promised in the policy (Level 2) was reimbursed. I have not had to use my policy yet for my newest rescue, but I am sure I will at some point in time. I would NEVER be without this insurance.

Embrace is a doggy-saver!!

Our 3 year old Siberian Husky Zephyr woke my husband in the middle of the night and I heard a yell, "Come quick! Something's wrong!" There was a small pool of blood outside Zephyr's kennel as he had managed to neatly expel everything OUTSIDE his large kennel. However, it was dark red and smelled horrible. After cleaning up and trying to deodorize, I opened the patio door to let Zephyr back in the house only to see a few more puddles outside. While I thought I would wait until morning - avoiding after hours charges & trying to get a few more hours of sleep - things did not appear to be settling down. So I decided to take Zephyr to the local VCA Animal hospital - the best in the state & nationally acclaimed - knowing they would get to the bottom of this probably more efficiently than our local vet. It wasn't until I was paused at a stop light at 3:30am that I remembered we had Embrace pet insurance. Whew!! Now I was really happy I made the choice to go. Upon getting to the hospital, we were seen immediately. Poor Zephyr was almost non-responsive and look very sad. The vet thought we should run a basic panel to start eliminating what might be the cause. Meanwhile, Zpehyr had lost so much fluid and blood, the decided it best to hook him up to IVs and get him hydrated. After tests came back negative, they suggested running an ultrasound to check for the possibility of an internal blockage. Now it was 7am. Best support system in rough times

Embrace has been amazingly supportive through a rough couple of years. Our wonderful pup suffered a hip injury and acute kidney failure and their staff was reassuring and acted quickly to process and reimburse our claims. Without this support there is no way we could have afforded to give our pup the best emergency and follow up care available. Indispensable! Not unimportantly, everyone at Embrace was very kind and this professional and supportive attitude really means a lot to us and our peace of mind that we have options and solutions and can always choose the best course of action in future events.
