Beware

I am pretty sure that if a vet wrote on an evaluation form that an animal was breathing air and that their heart was beating, Embrace would use the information to declare that there were pre-existing respiratory and cardiac issues. I quit this company before I ever filed a claim, because if you take good care of your animals and take them to the vet for what are obviously one-time and not chronic issues, Embrace will still find a way to designate a pre-existing conditions. Don't waste your money.

Fantastic Wellness Coverage

I submitted 4 claims pertaining to Wellness for my new puppy, faxed them to Embrace,and received an email that they were being processed. One day later I got an email update that all 4 claims were being reimbursed at 100% of what I paid on my vet's invoice. I can't tell you how much that helps my finances and I wish I would have purchased insurance when I had my first dog. The Wellness benefit alone is reason enough to purchase this insurance. I know I will use more than the $400 this year, as my dog still needs to be neutered, but with the reimbursment I am getting it will be applied to that - which means less out of pocket cost for me. Good to Have

Overall we are glad we have insurance for our puppy. It is a tad expensive (and apparently rates went up for new customers), but without it we would have spent a lot more.

Awesome!

Our poor pup broke his front paw and needed surgery. He had to stay 2 nights in the ICU. We were so scared as this was the first time he had a medical problem. We were so glad we had Healthy Paws Insurance, I did not even hear what the Vet said the cost was, because I knew we had good insurance and it was covered. We just wanted our buddy to have the best care possible, and knew we didn't have to worry about the cost. We have the $250 deductible, 90% coverage plan. After his final visit, I sent in the claim and it took a few days to process. Everything was done so fast and efficiently! Just as promised! Thank you Healthy Paws! Because of you our buddy now has a healthy paw! :)

great coverage for aging cat

This is the the second insurance company I have had pet insurance with and have found it to be very easy to work with. I have an aging cat that developed hyperthyroidism and IBD. Other insurance companies have per incedent deductables and need my vet to sign paperwork. At ASPCA there is an annual deductable and I fax them the claim form and a copy of the vet bill. I usually receive a check from them in less than 2 weeks. I have always had great service. As a matter of fact I have also insured my other cat and dog with them.

Saving Grace During an Awful Time

My 7 month old Italian Greyhound suffered sudden onset of extreme pain and high fever. My local rural vet did not have the diagnostic tools to figure out the problem. Thanks fo Pets Best Insurance I was able to take him to a specialty hospital and get the care he needed. He was diagnosed with meningitis and got the care he needed. There is no way I would have been able to afford the cost if it were not for Pets Best. It would have been a very different outcome for Niles. Pets Best responded to my claim immediately. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I kept thinking there should be more paperwork, more red tape, more of a fight to get reimbursed. Nope. Within a week 80% of the cost was deposited in my account. I highly recommend Pets Best. I will never be without pet insurance again.

Highly recommend Pets Best Insurance

When faced with a life threatening illness affecting your pet, the last thing you want to think about is the cost of treatment. Yet, it is a harsh reality. With help from Pets Best Insurance, my dog was able to receive the care that he needed. All of his lymphoma treatments were covered, up to the condition limit. Payment on claims were received within 7days The agents I spoke with on the phone were friendly, knowledgeable, and empathetic to my dogs situation. I purchased coverage with Pets Best for my other two dogs after this experience.

Easy to fax claim and quick reimbursement

I have unfortunately needed to file multiple accidental claims for our dog but Trupanion has covered 90% of costs minus the evaluation fee as stated on their site . I have been very happy with easy fax of forms and quick reimbursements.

I am not totally pleased

I am not totally happy with this insurance. I pay more out of pocket than I get in return. My claims are always not covered or go towards the deductible. I feel like I am just paying to say I have insurance but my insurance is not working for me. I am not happy that the individuals answering the emails get my two pets confused. I'll submit a claim for one dog and they are referencing my other dog.
