Quick and easy
The vet hospital filled out and submitted our claim and in less than 12 hours, Trupanion had emailed us, telling us they had approved our claim and our cheque was in the mail. Best experience.

Excellent
Healthy Paws is an excellent company to insure your pet. It is easy to file a claim using your camera phone and claims are usually processed and checks in the mail within a week.I have not had any problems with Healthy Paws and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking pet health insurance.

These folks are just the greatest
Patches, our "Lovable Labradoodle" joined our family when she was 3 months old. Something told me I should have medical insurance for this very expensive bundle of fluff and love. I tore my hair out trying to compare various plans and by shear luck ended up selecting Healthy Paws. My vet files my claims for me and I get an email confirming receipt of the claim within 2 working days, also hoping Patches is feeling much better. Within a few days Patches gets an email telling her how sorry they are she isn't feeling welling and wishing they could give her a hug. They process claims faster than any insurance company I've ever worked with, keep me well informed of the progress and before I know it I have a check in the mail. They even sent Patches a Happy Birthday card. They are the type of company I dreamt existed but had never experienced before. Congratulations Healthy Paws from one very grateful dad. No better pet insurance out there.
When I adopted my cat, she started ingesting foreign objects and getting sick a lot. I had 300$ vet visits each time I went for X-rays, shots and evaluation with the Dr. Finally, after the 4th time I'd had a enough and knew I needed some pet insurance. I found VPI through my vet office. Best decision I ever made. I have the Major Medical plan and each time I need to take my cat in, I just pay for the services up front and then a few weeks later I get a reimbursement check for what is covered. which is almost everything that was provided by the vet. Each year my costs are covered and claims are easy to send in and I have NO issues with the company denying claims or giving me issues of what services were provided. I will NEVER go with anyone else for my pet insurance because these are the best people around that take care of your wallet and your pet.

Renewed Faith in Pet Insurance!
Our Dog Oakley, a 7 month old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, was starting to show signs of what appeared to be a some type of sinus infection. He had a yellow/greenish discharge coming from his nose and was wheezing heavily. Of course it happened over a weekend so we decided to take him into a 24hr Vet hospital and it was a good thing we did because his nose started bleeding when we arrived at the emergency clinic.
After chest x-rays, a complete blood work up and several other tests they were able to confirm he had a upper respiratory infection which luckily had not yet moved into his lungs or evolved into pneumonia. Oakley was given medication and sent home with instructions to rest.
Thankfully we had just insured Oakley 2 months prior when we first got him. I was reluctant having had Pet Insurance through a different carrier on a previous dog that was a terrible experience. But upon our Vet's recommendation, I did some research (including this site) and decided to try again with Pets+Us... Best decision ever, they not only approved the entire claim (less the standard deductible & CoPay) but they paid it out into my bank account within the week.
Having the reassurance of being covered makes experiences like this much less stressful in making decisions. Excellent company to deal with!

First Pet Insurance you should consider
Embrace Pet Insurance is a way to put those unexpected expenses to rest. The policies are easy to understand and claims are paid promptly. My advice is to buy pet insurance when you don't need it and to ask your vet about the types of expenses you will occur with your pet.
