Relieved that Nationwide was there
My dog made several trips to the vet this year unfortunately ie. Allergies, sprained foot Once I paid my deductible, nationwide paid the rest of my bills without question. Speedy reimbursement (within a few days) was a bonus!!

poor customer service.
Their customer service is really hit or miss and when it misses it’s just about as bad as it gets. I was a customer for 4 years have recently been corresponding with a customer service rep for the past month. He is slow to respond, doesn’t answer any of my questions, doesn’t follow up, about half of his responses are clearly standard copy, shows no empathy and is just generally not willing to help. I also called their help line and the people were friendly and helpful, but gave incorrect information and they too didn’t follow up with a response when they had said they would. There were many, many ways to come to the eventual resolution and I really wish the customer service rep had taken one that was customer service oriented. I wouldn’t recommend their service based on this experience. My account number was 310230-1.

Coverage and claim process is very impressive.
I have been very pleased with the coverage provided by Nationwide. I am really impressed with the streamlined and fast claim process in place. The only thing I would suggest is providing a means to contact a claim representative directly if there is a question. An email contact would be great because it may not always be convenient for a phone conversation. Thank you.

Excellent company to work with
Exceptional customer service and super quick claim reimbursement. Our cat had major hip surgery and Healthy Paws processed the claim within 24 hours of receiving it. Every experience with them has been excellent.

so far dissapointed
so far, not good rating! it says they take 5 days to process claim, i have heard nothing from them and it has been 13 days. Our dog collapsed with a seizure and we rushed him to emergency vet who ran blood work, other test, cardio etc and we paid over $1500 diagnosed with valley fever and now on expensive monthly med that vet said may last up to 24 months. still no word from pets best. very dissapointed in their service. we have been with them a year, and i noticed this year, jan 2020 the premium was raised on all 3 of our dogs, we have a 90/10 policy with a $1000 deductible on each. Our pets are family, so we will always insure them and take care of them, but we are going to seek quotes from other pet insurance providers after this.
