Scam
Scam. Horrendous coverage. Everything you ever submit gets declined if you ever once have taken your dog for a general symptom like they seemed lethargic before getting the policy. My dog has been to the vet three times for which I tried to submit a claim and they were all declined despite there being different reasons for the lethargy (one time was accompanied with vomiting, one time was a urinary tract infection, and one time was a slipped disc). All three diagnosis had lethargy as an accompanying symptom and so all three were declined coverage. I've wasted thousands of dollars with these crooks. They also take almost two months to process claims. I'm saddened to see that so many people have posted the same "pre existing symptom" scam. If you are going to decline based on anything pre existing, it should be based on a pre existing conditions not a symptom that spans multiple illnesses or issues. This company does not care about animals or its customers.

I adopted 2 - 6 months kittens and was recommended to purchase insurance. Since a few years ago I had a dog with no insurance the last couple of years with him were extremely expensive and I did not want to go through that again. My smaller cat has gotten sick twice and needed to go to the emergency hospital and had to stay for 5 nights to try to control his fever. I was grateful to know that I didn't have to worry about how will I pay this vet bill. Healthy Paws has made it so simple to file a claim, the claims can be approved within 3 to 3 weeks and the explanation is thorough and simple to understand. I'm happy and relieved to have both of cats covered with Healthy Paws

Wellness Plan should be in BOLD and larger font!
I wish the type of wellness plan was in BOLD and in a larger font on the policy documents and app/website. I wanted to choose the Best wellness plan but somehow selected the Essential Wellness plan. I overlooked the plan type until I submitted my first claim. Now I have to wait until I renew next April to upgrade my plan.

Healthy Paws has been there for me and Koda when we needed it most. Emergency Vet is inevitable - This time he got a foxtail in his nose and he embedded it deep in his snout --- ER Visit - C-Scan - Scope - $2700!!!! Healthy Paws covered 80%. This is just one story!!!! Grateful to Healthy Paws.

Went downhill and is overpriced
I have been with PetsBest for 10 years and just cancelled my policy. Two years ago my policy doubled in price and now they have tripled what I was paying two years ago. I talked to a customer representative who was dismissive of my issues. I have been very happy with them until now but found better and cheaper coverage with a different company. Too bad!
