One Less Thing To Worry About

I have a 11 month old Boston Terrier. When my puppy was only a few months old, I decided to get pet insurance. I looked at other plans and nothing came close the the coverage and price of ASPCA. Luckily I have not had any serious accidents or illnesses (except for one incident when my puppy decided to eat part of an ottoman), but the few times I have had to get medical care for her, I didn't worry because I knew she was covered. Several people thought I was crazy to get pet insurance but now those same people are admitting that I had made a good choice). The claim process was easy and turnaround time for reimbursement was reasonable. Thank you ASPCA.

My first claim

As a newbie to insurance for my pup I was a little nervous about the process of getting my claim reimbursements. I thought it was going to be onerous and inefficient but embrace made it super user friendly and sent really useful emails to let me know where my claim was in the process. I also felt there customer service was very accessible and friendly. I highly recommend embrace so far!

Happy with the service

We had TPLO surgery done on our dog. The surgery and recovery was difficult and long but worked out fine.We saw 3 doctors and choose the least expensive which turned out to be the best one for the money. ASPCA Pet Insurance paid for all the consults and all the charges except for a few. Although I did not agree with some of their "reasonable rates" on a couple of charges they where reasonable on 90% of the bill. I have worked in auto claims for 35 years and understand the reasons for reasonable rates. The fact that they did pay for all the consults was a show of good faith.

Trupanion Delivers!

Trupanion has come to our rescue twice now after our Miki dog injured her knee in an accident. We have been extremely pleased with the level of customer service and prompt payment of promised benefits. We recommend Trupanion everywhere we go. One of our best investments!

Where would I be without Embrace???

In a lot more debt, that's where. I signed up my pup for Embrace just 3 months ago. He was completely healthy prior to enrolling. Unluckily he's had 2 emergencies already since enrolling. Embrace has been so speedy at getting our refunds back to us. I've only paid for 3 months of insurance thus far, but made my money back, and more, for the entire next year! Thanks so much Embrace!

Happy I decided to get pet insurance

I took out accident insurance on my young dog and accident/medical on my old dog. Soon after the former was bitten badly by another dog and the latter suddenly became incontinenent (bowel and bladder) and later had to be euthanized. I ended up actually getting paid more than I had paid to date for their insurance. I did not question the reimbursement amount because I was grateful for the help I did get. My understanding of this insurance is that they pay 80% of the charges they approve (just like human medical insurances) not a flat 80%. Since I have not investigated reimbursements by other pet insurers, I cannot comment on ASPCA's approval of charges factor.

Excellent

I am very pleased with Trupanion and would recommend every pet owner to get this insurance. My dog tore her CCL and I got the best Vet to operate and repair her knee. I also took out the therapy insurance and was able to take her for hydro-therapy to speed up her recovery. If I didn't have Trupanion I would not have been able to afford such wonderful care for my dog.

Such a caring company AND they reimbursed me!

My boxer Kage has been nothing less than an athlete his whole life, tip top shape. He turned 11 this year and still was bouncing and full of life. I thought pet insurance would be a good idea in case something happens to him like the large kidney stone he got in October last year. I looked on THIS website for about an hour and came to the conclusion that Healthy Paws had WAY more satisfied customers than all the other insurances that I checked out. In April I got him covered for $60 a month. Everything went well but I noticed that he was walking weird and slower about the middle of June, didn't want to get up anymore in the morning, even when I called him. This got worse VERY quickly, to the point where he was sliding all over the floor and randomly falling over. I took him to the vet and ran many extensive tests and turned out he had a brain tumor. Within days he got so bad to the point where I had to put him down, the tumor was inoperable. This was the most difficult thing I ever had to experience. A few days later I contacted Healthy Paws. They were very sympathetic for my loss. Being this was his first claim they needed all of his previous records, I said he had about 6 vets in the past, Healthy Paws offered to contact all of them and handle the paperwork for me to help me out in this sad time. Next they sent me such a nice card filled with everyone's written sympathies from their office... this was so sweet and unexpected, it was so above and beyond what I expected.

frustrated about payment

I asked for a preapproval and it got all messed up. I think I was paid the entire amount instead of my vet receiving any. the clerks got mixed up and did not pay attention that 3 claims were really one...all day in vets - then to emergency hospital overnight - then back to vet the next day. one event. seemed to confuse them greatly...i'm sure this happens a lot. they are still working on this option to have preapproval, and they need to work out the kinks. even with several emails, I still think this one is a mess. I want to be sure my vet was paid and I get my part only. I still don't know as my vet owner is out of town and only they know if they got the electronic transfer unless trupanion tells me they paid them which...after 1 week, i'm still waiting for the answer.
