Reimbursement? What Reimbursement??

After paying $100 per month to insure 2 dogs, finally made a large claim after my Great Dane was bitten by a Poisonous Spider. Bills totaled around $1000. Filled all of my claims and Presto - found out the 80% reimbursement rate was a TOTAL JOKE!!! Got back $151.07! WHAT???? Oh I forgot, $500 deductible and we don't cover this or that. Am currently shopping for better Pet Insurance that actually covers my pets!!! What a Joke.

Healthy Paws is Amazing.

We recently got a doberman puppy, Whiskey, just a month or two back. Only days after our insurance was "activated", Whiskey broke his poor leg. He was just 3 months old! We were both heartbroken...we knew immediately that this was going to be incredibly difficult. Having to keep a poor puppy confined so he doesn't injure himself further while his leg heals is no easy task. On top of it, my boyfriend was convinced that there was no way the insurance would cover his surgery considering it happened only days after it was activated. He was wrong. Healthy Paws stepped in, and in a matter of just DAYS...I had a check in my hand for the surgery costs. When I called them frantic, they assured me that any additional costs associated with the surgery would be reimbursed as well. I cannot express my gratitude enough. They took a major burden off our minds and we could focus on keeping Whiskey on the path to recovery. In addition, the process was easier than I could ever imagine. All I had to do was send an email or take a pic with my phone of the invoice....and it was immediately processed. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I just wish that I could give everyone in this company a hug. They did wonders for us. We will be with them for life. I couldn't say better things about Healthy Paws.

We're in good hands with Healthy Paws!

Our two-year old greyhound, Brit, developed a pronounced limp. Upon examination and x-ray, our vet found that she had a small but sharp piece of gravel that had worked its way through her paw pad. It was in so deep that it could be removed only by surgery. We are fortunate to be new members of the Healthy Paws family. We submitted our claim, and were happy with how quickly and efficiently our claim was settled. We also received a follow-up email inquiring as to Brit's recovery. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Healthy Paws!

Great Service

I submitted a claim for an operation performed on my little dog, ZEE ZEE. I figured the process would be a long drawn out one but to my pleasant surprise, it was easy, no hassles, timely and efficient. I received my check in the mail about 3 weeks from when I initiated the claim. This was my first experience with Trupanion claims process and it was a great one! Thank you so much for being what all insurance companies should be - customer oriented.

Amazing Company!! 10/10!

Great pet insurance company with amazing service! I'm so happy I enrolled my cat in their plan when I did...would have had trouble affording her tests/treatment (>$2000) when she got sick without the reimbursements. Shockingly quick and easy claim reimbursement! After submitting my first claim online along with Roxy's medical chart, everything was processed in a few days. For all of my subsequent claims I asked my vet's office to forward them my invoices and within an hour of getting home from the vet I had an email saying the claim was processed and my check was on it's way! Have never experienced such awesome service like this before. They never once tried to deny or question a claim and they frequently sent personal emails checking in on Roxy to see if she was getting better. If you love your pet and don't want to be in the unfortunate situation of having to decide whether or not to proceed with life-saving tests/treatment due to high vet costs then you should definitely enroll in Healthy Paws pet insurance. You won't regret it....truly worth every penny

$51 rate hike was quite a shock!!

I have Trupanion for my two dogs. I had one rate hike for $20/month, which I did not feel was out of line. Now I just got a rate hike of $51/month. With all the statements about rates not being raised because of the dogs' age or the number of claims, I never expected to face a rate hike of this amount. I was told it was to keep in line with the cost of pet care. Since you are committed once you have the insurance because of "existing conditions" preventing full coverage with someone else, take care before you insure with Trupanion.

I don't know what to say.

I guess it was my own fault, but I did not realized that I had only a $2,500 limit on my cat's diabetes claims. I have now reached that limit and pets Best will no longer pay anything toward "Phil's" diabetes expenses. I guess that is a typical limit for other insurance companies too; however, it is devastating news for me. He is about 12 or 13 years old and the sweetest cat ever. He requires 6 units of insulin twice daily as well as periodic testing and Rx food, in addition to his wellness treatment. I can no longer afford to pay his bills without the insurance help and I don't know what I'm going to do.
