Waste of time and money!

Our puppy ended up contracting parvovirus. She recovered and we decided to get pet insurance. Almost a year later we found out she had kidney disease due to an infection. Embrace took over a month to process the claim only to find out that because she had vomited and had diarreah when she had parvo they would not cover her. They sated that vomiting and diarreah are symptoms of kidney disease. We had racked up 7k in bills before we even found out she was not covered.

Good Name

The name of company speaks for itself, Pets Best! No problems with payment into my account(5 days). The only time I have any problem is with the vet not filling properly. I have two people that signed up for your insurance of my recommendation. They are pleased as I am.

More than insurance, Healthy Paws cares!

After researching many reviews and options, we decided nearly a year ago, to give Healthy Paws a try for our new puppy. The plan was affordable, no crazy exclusions, and offers a high reimbursement level. We wanted to make sure our puppy would be covered in case anything would happen. Let's be honest, pets are family. You wouldn't let a human member of the family just suffer if something was weong, right? We have had 3 claims in the last year due to our pup being a little sick, all unrelated issuea. But the most recent claim was last week, when out dog had aspirated on her own vomit. We rushed her to the vet, where she was listed as steady, but had to remain at the vet for 3 days to treat her beginning pneumonia caused by the aspiration. Her bill came to $600 and again we were so thankful we had insurance to cover nearly all the cost. We are happy and thrilled that we don't have to play the waiting game with her health because of costly vet bills. Healthy Paws gives us the peace of mind that our Penny will always be in great health and good care. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our claims have always been processed within 48 hours of submission, with the last being processed in less than 24 hours! The claim process is unbelievably easy! Affortable

I would like to thank Pets Best Insurance.They were very helpful in helping myself with my Harley's cancer.The claims I submitted stayed as one deductible until her passing.They also,cancelled my insurance the day after she had passed,so I didn't have to pay for the whole month.

Service Was Above and Beyond What I Expected!

I have a Siberian Husky puppy named Mal, like Malcolm. I came home one day to a puppy who was very much ill. He seemed dizzy and disoriented. Watching him constantly throw himself in the snow and trip over himself was nerve wracking to say the least. Although he's all better now, the vets never were able to determine what the problem was. I felt super helpless. Having to deal with the fact that Mal was about to undergo all sorts of tests and exams on top of spending his first nights away from home was super difficult. How was I supposed to deal with billing departments, faxes, emails, multiple invoices and insurance companies??? So I call Healthy Paws. The first thing I noticed was how extremely helpful and friendly the entire staff behaved with me. They always asked how Mal was doing. And I know that you'd expect that sort of thing, but never once did it feel like small talk. They treated me and Mal like part of a family. I never once felt like a customer or number and everything about the entire process was super easy and friendly. Seeing as how it was our first claim, I was told it would take a little longer than normal to process everything. I was thinking it would take a couple of weeks of back and forth and then maybe another couple of days for the reimbursement to process. It took a week. That's it. Here I was, worried about moving money around and upcoming bills and it all only took about a week. And everything was handled by our family vet and Healthy Paws. A

Exclusions are not listed properly

I was just told that my claim will be denied for a spay procedure. Because I had chosen Plan 4 and had been told I could select how to use the wellness portion, I thought it would be covered. I also discussed that question over the phone before selecting this policy. It is not listed as an exclusion so there is no way to know. The rep went through the list of what is covered under wellness, however it is not clear that this list is exhaustive when receiving the document initially. All the rep could say is" it used to be covered, but our policy changed..." It takes 15 days to cancel the policy and this will be my last premium. The staff is very scripted and no empathy even if they misled me. I read the contract, yet, the language is deceiving.

Simply the BEST insurance for your pet

Our beloved Vizsla was recently diagnosed with the ailment I feel most pet lovers dread the most: cancer (in her case, a mast cell tumor). It was particularly devastating because 3 years ago, we lost our Weimaraner to an aggressive form of the same cancer. In his case, a different insurance company did nothing but argue with us over every detail, leaving us with over $7K in uncovered bills. When we re-homed our Vizsla, we were armed with all the facts to help prevent this disease. Unfortunately, we had no control over her previous owner's antiquated approach to "good health" which included massive over-vaccination and a poor quality commercial kibble. Besides, these breeds are pre-disposed to mast cell, and no one really knows the root cause. With Healthy Paws, we were able to take her to a top veterinary oncologist, and to follow up with an outstanding surgeon. Throughout this ordeal, we at least had the peace of mind knowing we could give her the best care without undue financial burden. True to their word, Healthy Paws reimbursed us 90% of the costs in a timely fashion. Any time I called to inquire about claim status, they were friendly and efficient, and helped us to get our thousands of dollars in reimbursement quickly. They even sent an email asking us how she was doing. We got lucky this time...our girl's cancer did not metastasize, and her oncologist feels she will live out her normal lifespan.
