My pup had operation on both front leg…
My pup had operation on both front leg joints. The cost was about $9500.00 I just paid $1300.00. We got nice well wishes card from Trupanion that really seemed genuine. Customer service is great and they answer all my questions. I have recommended them to all my fellow pet owners.

Easy access to Insurance for my Pet & Great Service
I am a new client. ASPCA was a recommendation from my new vet. I went on line & read all information provided & decided I would like insure my new puppy. It was really easy to request coverage via my computer. The next day I received a call from ASPCA. The agent was very professional & friendly. She reviewed the policy & procedures with me. She answers all my question. I was very impressed with your service.

Extremely disappointed about how our claims are handled
Extremely disappointed about how our claims were handled. Our pet was enrolled a few days before she was diagnosis of Giardia and the first vet visit (when we enrolled) did not confirm that she has Giardia. The insurance is playing the word of "showing symptom" (as we mentioned to our first vet visit, and they did a fecal test and did not show anything either) without medical proof and deemed this as a pre-condition so we did not get our claims back. This is ridiculous and purely based on speculation not based on medical proof. Super disappointed and definitely will change provider.

DO NOT use this company!
I purchased additional insurance from my vet that they do not cover because this is not enough. My VET insurance balance remains on my bill and even though my vet bills are paid in full they will not pay my claims until my additional insurance is paid at my VET. The most ridiculous reason not to pay I have ever heard. I am already filing a claim with the scc and the bbb. They are robotic and do not care at all. They have even called and confirmed my vet bills are paid in full and still denied me. When I kept calling them to explain they did not care. I asked them to cancel me and they did without concern at all and no other explanation. Worst customer service ever!

Good coverage, straightforward claims process
Good Coverage: We purchased Healthy Paws coverage for our two dogs several years ago and chose the 90% reimbursement option. So far, our policy has covered X-rays, ultrasounds, bloodwork, a CCL (dog ACL) surgery, multiple lumpectomies, radiation, hospital stays, prescription meds... to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. Basically, one of our dogs is alive and kicking because we have coverage. We've never had any issues with them refusing to pay a claim or disputing a claim. Note: If you're shopping for a policy, be sure to check the fine print about injuries. One of the reasons we went with Healthy Paws is that they are one of the few pet insurance companies that will cover injuries in addition to illness (the reasoning of other companies being that injuries are the result of negligence, I guess?). After the CCL surgery for our dog--which most policies out there wouldn't have covered--we're grateful that we did. Straightforward claims: The claims process is straightforward--just upload itemized and paid receipts--and claims are usually processed very quickly. It is a reimbursement model, so we use it in combination with a Care Credit account, and we have always been able to pay the card off with the reimbursement before the first payment comes due. It has most of the usual caveats for pet insurance: No, they don't cover preexisting conditions. No, they don't cover preventative care or office visits. Yes, your rates will slowly increase over the years. If you are lucky and your pet never has an emergency or a major health issue, you will spend thousands of dollars over their lifetime in insurance payments and wonder why you even bothered. If you are like us, you will thank your lucky stars that you got the policy as you watch the vet bills roll in and realize that the insurance makes it possible for you to treat your pet. In other words: it's insurance. BUT if you have decided to get pet insurance, Healthy Paws is probably just about the best out there.

It was very easy and understandable. Being a first time pet owner, it's a little scary having to worry about your pets health and well being.
