My 12 1/2 year old rescue Malti Poo was diagnosed with a mammary gland tumor that turned out to be malignant. The surgery was done, a consultation was made with an oncologist and I was very happy that 80% of the cost was paid by my ASPCA insurance. I was also pleased with the speed the claims were processed and the kindest of the service reps who followed up with me to see how Gigi was doing. Highly recommend getting the insurance.

I am grateful to ASPCA insurance because if it weren't for the financial assistance they provided, my beautiful 4 yr old Weim would probably not be here today. He started out with Cushing's disease last summer. The drugs being taken for the treatment of Cushing's pushed him into Addison's disease. About the same time, we discovered that he had an irregularity in his testicles. He needed immediate surgery, and when the biopsy came back, we were told he had malignant testicular cancer. So many things wrong in the same amount of time. If not for the pay outs from the insurance, we would never have been able to afford his treatment. He's now 3 1/2 mos post-op and on a regular treatment for Addison's. He's doing outstanding. I am thankful that I still get to take him on runs and car rides. He's my buddy and he's here, in part, thanks to ASPCA.

I have had Embrace for several years and have been satisfied and surprised that an insurance company does what it advertises and says. I had a large claim one month after getting the policy, and another cat has been sick with multiple problems recently. All of this has been handled promptly and correctly.

My little wiener dog got accidentally poisoned from eating something in the yard and she had to be rushed to the vet and then needed very expensive overnight emergency care. The claim process was easy and they paid fairly quickly. I had an issue with their billing department on another occasion, and it requires several phone calls to get them to stop telling me I'd be canceled if I didn't pay EVEN THOUGH I had. They were very apologetic but they need to fix their billing software ASAP.

Embrace has been heaven sent! No hassle and prompt payment. They offer excellent customer care. I wish my own health insurance was half as good as Embrace. My only regret is that I didn't sign up sooner

This is the first time I have used pet insurance. I find the staff friendly and helpful when I get help by phone. I found the website a little confusing, but overrall I really like the company.

I was VERY skeptical on pet insurance. Growing up on a farm that is NOT something that you did. But when we adopted our dog was recommend. We are so glad we listened. The staff at Embrace have been VERY helpful with helping us through the process taking a little stress out of an hectic emergency visit and multiple follow up visits. Embrace was very quick to reimburse us w/out any hassle.

This is a long review but I think you'll find some details that will help you make a well-informed decision about why you should choose Healthy Paws. I have been in the customer service business a long time, long enough to know when I'm getting lip service customer service and when I'm getting customer service from a company that truly values its customers, and Healthy Paws is a truly human company. They have caring, thoughtful staff that do an outstanding job with customer service, and really with every aspect of their business. So let's start with the basics of why you'd want to become a customer - coverage. You have many options for coverage - different deductible and co-pay options, so you'll be able to find something that fits your budget and your insurance needs. Now let's move on to the coverage of illness/injury - you're simply not going to do any better with another pet insurance company. Healthy Paws covers way more than other companies do, and don't quote me on this one, but I'm pretty sure they even cover at least some holistic treatments. Then what about pre-existing conditions? Sure there may be just one or two, but that's it, and I find them far more than reasonable limitations. I don't even consider them really limitations at all, they are just no-brainers. So coverage is just terrific. And please, don't gripe "they don't cover routine healthcare items." Okay, they don't, and I don't expect them to. That's not why you're buying pet insurance. You're buying it to offset pet care expenses, and sooner or later you're going to have an injury or illness and you're going to face that question, how much is this going to cost me? As much as you love your pets, like we do, you're going to think about money.
