Thank goodness for Healthy Paws!

Our 4 month old Westie had to have an emergency endoscopy last weekend. The procedure was necessary and thankfully successful. Hours later we left with medicine and a substantial bill but most importantly a groggy but healthy puppy. The next day, I submitted our paperwork to Healthy Paws and they were wonderful to work with. Exactly one week after the procedure, we received a reimbursement check. We are so thankful that we had insurance. We have been pet owners for over 30 years but this is the first time we ever had insurance. It was one of the best decision we've made.

Alice Can Now Eat

Over the years I have seldom taken advantage of my ASPCA pet insurance, which I took out on Alice, a stray kitten I found and adopted in 2008, and who is very loving and a great companion. A few months ago Alice started to lose weight and eat less. The Vet found 2 or 3 teeth with some sort of cyst or growth by the gums that made the teeth need extraction. I thought the cost of the sedation and extraction would not be covered at all, since I don't have dental or preventive coverage. But ASPCA did cover this procedure under their Level Two plan, which I have, and which pleased me and demonstrated good service.

Embrace is the BEST

Embrace Pet Insurance - what can I say about this company? They are supportive, responsive and phenomenal. They truly care about me and my pet. I recommend Embrace to all dog owners that I meet - they really helped us out when our 6 year old Spanish Water Dog was recently diagnosed with ITP - Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia - a disease where the body attacks its immune system. Bruiser needed life saving treatment, twice, and would not be here if it was not for Embrace's excellent coverage which made a very expensive treatment affordable for us.

Great Experience

I am very happy with my first experience filing a claim with Healthy Paws. The staff was very courteous and helpful in getting all of the medical information needed to complete my claim. The claims process was very quick and only took a few days to complete, start to finish. I also appreciated that everything that was/wasn't covered was clearly explained in writing and there were no surprises. The coverage was exactly as described upon signing up. The best part was knowing that I didn't have to worry as much about affording an unexpected surgery for my kitty! Thank you!

First pet insurance I have ever purchased.

When my vet suggested I purchase pet insurance I did lots of research on pet insurance companies. Embrace is the company I decided to try. I have had three claims so far, and Embrace has paid exactly what they stated they would. I was concerned that I would pay in more money than I would ever receive back, because my Old English Bulldogge has bad hips, knees, and allergies and I knew these items would be eliminated from any possible claims. It gives me peace of mind that as my puppy gets older - I'm sure more issues will need care. This is a great loveable breed, but at least in my case - lots of care needs. I would never give her back. She is a very important member of our family. My vet faxes the insurance claim right to Embrace - so when I leave the vet office - I know that my claim will be sent. I received the three checks by mail - but have the option of having it sent directly to my checking account if I choose. So far, I'm very happy with Embrace. In my case, I hope I never have to use the insurance again, but if I do - I have it. I'm impressed so far.

Couldn't be better

My Australian Cattle Dog has been insured by Healthy Paws since a baby. Unfortunately, we have learned the value of a good pet insurance company first hand and several times. Healthy Paws is superlative. Not only are the claims easy (just fax in the invoices), but they review all claims immediately and usually detail the reimbursement within a day. The checks are often in the mail within 2 days. And…they follow up, treat us like family, are tops in customer service, friendly, and they cover so much. I wish my insurance were so good, to say the least.

Excellent, Fair, Great Customer Service

We've never had pet insurance before, but we've had such a great experience with Healthy Paws it's hard to imagine ever going with anyone else. Our cat ended up at the emergency vet when he was only a year old with a blocked urethra. It was an expensive experience that motivated us to get pet insurance. Though the blocked urethra issue isn't covered since it's a preexisting condition now, our cat is only 2 years old and we've already had the support of Healthy Paws through two more emergencies since this kitty likes to eat things that aren't food and then those things get stuck is his intestines! He's had two surgeries, both of which would have been totally impossible for us financially without Healthy Paws. They've also really understanding and supportive on the phone with customer service. The second surgery I was in the vet's office deciding if we could go through with another surgery when I called Healthy Paws and they assured us the operation would be covered by our insurance within 30 minutes of my first phone call to them. I highly recommend Health Paws.

Straightforward, no hassle experience

We had no problem filing our claim, the paper work and procedures were self explanatory, and we recieved the reimbursement before we had to pay our credit card bill. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised that all but $100 of the bill was covered by VPI, which was nearly $2000. We hope we won't be needing to rely on VPI any time soon, however, VPI allows us to keep our peace of mind in case something does.

Friendly, Fast and Exceptional Service

Our baby has a variety of medical issues (Diabetes, Pancreatitis to name a few)and Pets Best has helped me every step of the way. This past claim was for routine check up and heart worm testing but most of our claims are for more extensive trips to the vet. I submit by mail and within a few days I am notified by e-mail of the status of my claim and I then receive a check shortly after that in the mail. I appreciate that I can talk directly to customer service when I call and not an automated system. Love you guys!!

A literal life saver!

We got Healthy Paws 3 months ago for our 5 month old puppy. On new years day she got into some pills and we had to rush her to the emergency vet. She had been to be hospitalized for two days to make sure they flushed everything out of her system so no long term damage would occur. After paying the deposit so they could get started on her treatment I was a little skeptical about whether or not I would ever get reimbursed the 90% that Healthy Paws says they give back since it was such an expensive bill. I filed the claim as soon as my dog came home. How long did it take to hear back from Healthy Paws? ONE DAY! Not only did they complete her claim faster than I could have expected I was reimbursed 90% (after my deductible was taken out)! I can't tell you how much it means to know that whatever happens to my furry child, I never have to second guess wether or not I can afford to potentially save her life. It is a huge relief to never have to deny her help because of cost. I know many people who have had to let their pets go because they could not afford the help to save their lives. It is heartbreaking. Thank you Healthy Paws!
