I rescued my American Bulldog 3 years ago and he has been a labor of love who seems to be injury prone and susceptible to illness. Two TPLO surgeries, cataract surgery and a couple of very serious bacterial infections which required multiple night hospital stays in 3 years has been stressful, but Healthy Paws has been so supportive and removed the financial stress from treatments which allowed me to focus on healing my boy!

Embrace is a trustworthy business. They do what they say they will do and honor the terms of their policies—not every pet insurance company is so reliable. I signed up for a policy for my 11-year-old lab just over a year ago. I didn't even think I'd be able to find an affordable policy for a dog his age, but Embrace was willing to do it as long as they had knowledge of preexisting conditions and we had a written agreement there would be no coverage for those conditions. Sounded wise to me and time has proved it smart. The particular employee I've been dealing with at Embrace (first initial: J ... knows her stuff) walked us through the process of obtaining records and establishing a list ofthose conditions. Knowing what's covered and what won't be, ahead of time has been a big comfort. Over my first year with the policy there have been 3 or 4 claims and the company did exactly what I expected it to, each time. Reimbursement was prompt and accurate. The rate went up about the amount I expected it to for the second year. Knowing in advance what will be covered and what won't for your pet is a wise approach and removes the potential for misunderstanding. Happy to recommend Embrace.

He's happy because he knows that now he can see his very smart vet as often as he needs her because there's help out there. Vet bills seem to have become astronomically high but ASPCA coverage is just what it promises to be--fair and reasonable.I've has dogs all my life and this is the first time I've bought insurance..well worth it. I spoke with 4 representatives in trying to determine exactly what I needed to provide. I asked that they let me know if more information was needed - the first one did not get back to me, but rather he called the VET. The vet then called to see if this was the same information I had requested. Ultimately after too much time on the phone and promises made to me that I would be called if any problems arose, the final young woman is the only one who followed up with me. The problem that I thought was Embrace's was at the vet, they had sent information with our name on it, but for another dog. Had the second person followed up with me about this incorrect information - I would have been able to take care of the situation post haste. I am still uncertain how much Embrace will cover for my dogs emergency surgery, which more than covered my deductible. It has not been a good experience - I will write more following communication on my claim. I cannot recommend Embrace to others at this time.

We have had numerous health issues with our dog and this company has been great.

Just signed up and my little guy had some things that needed to be looked at. I honestly didn't know what would be covered because I had literally just signed him up. However I was very happy to see that Embrace did cover some of the work done and I got a payment in a pretty fast time line. So far I am very happy with Embrace.

Brought our puppy home from the breeder and per their recommendation purchased health insurance from Embrace. Before his first scheduled vet visit for his next round of shots, he came down with Parvo. After 2 1/2 weeks of treatments and over 1600 in bills, I submitted the claims. About 3 weeks later, I am told that because our puppy had not been to the vet before this other than when the breeder took him to get his shots before we picked him up, out claim was not valid. I will be contacting the breeder and letting them know about this before they mention Embrace again to a buyer of a 1400 dollar puppy.

My Australian Shepherd Chloe has been covered by Healthy Paws for years. She's had other minor health issues in the past that I had to take out multiple credit cards to cover without having pet insurance. We recently discovered that she has a rare heart condition and a pacemaker implantation would save her life. I wouldn't have been able to afford this major surgery without Healthy Paws. Submitting claims are extremely easy, they don't question every detail of the bill and will thoroughly look over it for you to see which parts are covered aka %80. I got my check within 2 weeks and can sleep at night not having to worry about my finances while I take care of my recovering pup.

I had my dog at the vet for her annual vaccines and a checkup, when my dog was examined, the vet found a broken tooth. They submitted a claim to TRUPANION , and they agreed to pay up to $1400. I set up an appointment , and had the Tooth extracted a couple of weeks later. I paid the the Vet my portion (less what Trupanion paid). 5 days later, I received a letter from Trupanion. They have reevaluated the claim. According to my dogs records, she had gingivitis on her teeth when she was 18 Months old. Therefore, we can not cover a broken tooth...... The letter also tells me to go back to the vet and pay them what they originally agreed to pay.

Embrace has been amazing to work with. Poor Jackson has been thru the ringer: a spinal surgery in 2014, another spinal surgery in 2015, and treatment for Addison's disease this year. Their claims process has always been smooth and easy, with quick turn around and fast reimbursement. No hoops to jump thru; no need to argue for coverage. I can't recommend Embrace highly enough!
