The Best Pet Insurance Company on the planet

This is the best company I have ever had for my pet insurance. Unlike other companies I have dealt with, this company pays out your claims promptly and without endless excuses to reduce the amount of the payments. When you sign up for a 10 percent deductible, you get back a full 90% of your vet fees. Other companies I have dealt with manage to come up with various exclusions bringing down their claim payments to only around 50% on a 90% plan. In fact, I recently had vet bills of over $30,000 dollars for my two sick dogs, one receiving cancer treatments and the other needing major knee surgery. Healthy Paws paid me the full 90% of some very expensive claims. They even sent an email asking how my dog was doing after the knee surgery. You can’t buy better pet insurance than this. I’ll stick with Healthy Paws for all my future pet insurance needs. You should give them a try.

My Eternal Gratitude to 24 Pet Watch Insurance

Although this review is based on the service we received for our beloved OSH, Trouble, aka Sir Hubble Pinkerton many years ago, I will never forget how 24 Pet Watch took care of us, dealing with our kitty with several costly medical conditions. We began his policy when he was about 4-5 years old and we are so happy that we chose 24 Pet Watch’s Champion coverage. We loved the Wellness option coverage and the $20,000 annual allowance. As he grew older, Trouble developed complicated medical conditions which often required hospital stays. And when he turned around 15 years old, Chronic Kidney Disease raised its ugly head. It was 24 Pet Watch that allowed us to give Trouble all the vital care that he needed- covering 80% of the cost. I shudder to think what we would have done if we hadn’t enrolled all of our kitties in 24 Pet Watch, which many options that other insurance companies do not provide. We continue our insurance with 24 Pet Watch. We love the customer service, the compassion and the love the staff has for pets- which is obvious when talking with an agent. The only thing that would make 24 Pet Watch perfect is not dividing the amount of financial coverage for each medical condition.- and the annual Wellness exam in a separate category rather than taking all coverage in one category. Sadly, Trouble passed away at the age of 17. Our two younger cats continue to be covered by 24 Pet Watch and we continue to be very happy with this company. Our two kitties, (six year old OSH and a 6 year-old Mixed Breed ) highly recommend 24 Pet Watch Pet Insurance. Pet Insurance is not a luxury— it is a lifesaver.

Worth Every “Penny”

A friend of mine told me about pet insurance so I began looking into it. I have two dogs, so cost/value was a valid concern. I imagined an accident or something dents related would be the only real reason for a costly vet visit so I was hesitant. After coming to the realization that my dogs are basically my kids I really should have them insured. Never in my wildest dreams did I know what I was in store for. My little one and the baby of the family Penny, ended up being diagnosed with Lymphoma and given a very grim life expectancy. My heart was absolutely broken. She was referred to a specialist for treatment whereas the options were only two. Pay for chemo or … I don’t even want to think about the 2nd option. If she wasn’t insured though, I don’t think I could’ve ever pulled off cancer treatments. So albeit still a hefty price to pay all around her tagline for life has coined the phrase “worth every Penny” as she’s still here, thriving and playing with her sister. To note the processes as a client of Embrace, they are fabulous. The phone app is as easy as making a cup of coffee. Whenever I’ve needed assistance they’ve been there to help and all of the reimbursements are sent without delay. It’s honestly awesome. Thank you Embrace. We are “fur_ever fans!”

Trupanion takes care of Molly and Me!!!!

Claims are a nightmare

Horrible onboarding and claims process. I have 2 labs and the price of insurance was high even though they were puppies when I started the plan. It took months and months to even onboard them because they kept asking for information of their medical history, including “doctor’s notes”, which my vet didn’t even understand what they wanted. They sent everything over and over again. Yet it kept being delayed because they were waiting on information of some sort. Embrace will happily let it sit forever unresolved, stating that you can try to get the info on their behalf. Well that would be nice if I knew what they needed. They finally onboarded me after months of fighting, with “pre-existing conditions” that didn’t actually exist. Fast forward 4 years. Upon filing my first medical claim, it’s been placed on hold pending additional medical information from the 12 month period prior to my on boarding. What?!? Embrace drags their feet until you finally give up. Their website states a diminishing deductible for each year of no claims. I’ve never seen that happen. Additionally if you alter your plan to add coverage they will happily oblige. What they do not tell you is if you reduce it back down you will be subjected to the new patient policy - along with initial waiting period and evaluation of pre-existing conditions. A huge expense and enormous hassle for little or no return. You are better off saving money each month yourself for your pets’ needs.

Formerly Good, Now Useless

From 2016 to April 2020 I had a Healthy Paws policy for my late dog, Jiminy. The ease of filing claims via the Healthy Paws App and responsive customer service representatives and reasonable premiums led me to recommend Healthy Paws to several friends. I did so even after Jiminy’s premiums increased from $48 per month to $62 per month. He was an elderly dog with an increasing number of health problems so the increase seemed fair. After Jiminy passed away, I adopted another rescue dog, Daisy, and purchased a Healthy Paws policy for her. I provided Healthy Paws with all of Daisy’s veterinary records from the adoption agency and provided records of all her vaccinations and wellness checkups after I adopted her. Healthy Paws did not have to pay any claims for Daisy from October 2020 until October 2021 when she had surgery to repair a cherry eye she had developed in July 2021. When I filed the claim on October 8, Healthy Paws suddenly wanted all sorts of additional documentation. I sent the final documents, including the vet’s notes from the surgery, to Healthy Paws on October 29. On November 9, Healthy Paws sent me a form email denying the claim because 30 days had elapsed since October 8 when the claim was first filed. In the fine print on the web site it said I could refile the claim and provide all the documentation again. I wrote back to Ms Sara Bailey, the customer service rep, telling her to cancel my policy effective November 10 and requested an email confirmation that the policy had been cancelled. Three days later I still had not received a confirmation so I called Healthy Paws customer service. The rep found my cancellation email in the records.and cancelled the policy effective Nov 11. No explanation or apology for the lack of response was offered. It used to be good insurance. It isn’t any more

The more dishonest company

They are dishonest, they said me that my dogs were covered, but when I put a claim the request me an exams that I should had sent in the first 15 days from the set up of the policy. Nevertheless, they have been taking my money each month.
