Highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance

I had only insured my cat since January 2015 and in late March, our cat had trouble urinating. He could urinate, but only small amounts; I took him to the Specialty Hospital thinking he was blocked; but it turned out that he had bladder stones. He spent the night in the hospital to monitor his urination in case the stones caused a blockage and there was some back and forth whether they take him to surgery or try diet first. The diet was recommended and he did not care for it, so we had a feeding tube placed to keep him on the special diet to try and avoid a much bigger surgery. Within a couple of days, he had an infection and some lung inflammation, he then spent another night in the hospital. He is doing well now, but has also had several rechecks and recheck ultrasounds by the specialist. In the beginning there were some issues with Embrace, whether they had received all the paperwork and prior veterinary records and that took some time to sort out and was a bit frustrating. While going through it I wasn't impressed with Embrace, and it being the first time EVER that I filed a claim for pet insurance with any company and being wary of insurance companies in general, it made me nervous, but since then they have acknowledged every claim within two days and paid within a week of making the claim. Overall, I couldn't be happier with Embrace. In between all of my kitty's bladder problems, he also ate some plastic and started vomiting. I rushed him to the vet for ultrasound etc and again it was all covered without any complaints from Embrace and they paid promptly. As of the problems starting I have paid Embrace $66- in premiums and received back in excess of $3100-. This kitty had other medical issues unrelated to his bladder issues and there was some question whether we bother insuring him at all, but for piece of mind we did and given he is only 4yo, I really didn't expect anything else to go wrong with him for years, but it was money well spent. Once you get all of your veterinary records into Embrace, I found them to be extremely fast in acknowledging and paying claims. I've had other cats insured with them and even though we've only had to claim on one cat, it's more than paid for multiple years of premiums for all the cats and I often think how lucky we are that we made the decision to insure out cats. Also, if in the future, our cat does get blocked and need a surgery to unblock his urethra or remove the stones if they look l

Excellent response and service!

This was the first time I have had to use my pet insurance. The vet's office was able to contact Trupanion on-line as I checked out-- and they responded very quickly! I also appreciated the follow-up email hoping my sick kitty was doing better (he is). Very pleased with the service!

Best Pet Insurance!!

Embrace handles all of my claims with no problems at all. I love that you can customize your plan and can go to any vet of your choice. This company is really the best. I highly recommend them to everyone I know and hope they continue to do good business and that more people find out about them.

Amazing

Our Max, golden retriever was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in January. He just finshed his final chemo treatment after amputation of his rear leg. Embrace was amazing. I hadnt gotten his orth report in to them, although Maxs vet had checked him. They retroactively accepted the vet report thant he was healthy in November and approved claims for the amputation and 5 chemo treatments. Almost $10,000 worth of claims. They are prompmwith payment and ever so kind and supportive.

Way better than my last company

I cannot speak highly enough of Embrace Pet Insurance...and their staff. We've carried pet insurance on our dogs since 1990. Back then, there was only one pet insurance company...one did not have a choice. We do now! Our dogs issues have included pancreatitis, estrogen toxicity, embedded foxtail, cysts, and canine alopecia. Have one scheduled for dental work (broken tooth) and lump removal next month. As soon as they receive the claim, they notify me and it's easy to check on the claim process. Once our deductible was met (which didn't take long) - the reimbursement check from Embrace doesn't take more than a couple of weeks. Timely and courteous service.

Absolutely horrible

My cat was sick since the day I brought him home, and since I couldn't activate my 24pet insurance until the day after, they said his policy wasn't in effect and therefore it was pre-existing so they wouldn't cover his expenses. How was I supposed to know that he was sick before I got him? and how can it be pre-existing if he's never been treated for it before? 24pet watch is a horrible company that is simply out to screw people over. I will never use or recommend their services ever again.

Excellent service

I am so pleased with my policy with Trupanion! Having the insurance coverage has made it possible for me to ensure quality of life for my pet. Due to allergies my Springer Spaniel, Winston, has severe dermatitis issues. Thank goodness for the coverage and the great service we have received from Trupanion!

Disappointed in Dental Coverage

I submitted a claim for my dog for dental treatment. She had 6 teeth removed, cleaning and a lump in her mouth biopsied. The bill was $3,200.00 I understood that on her plan she has $600.00 for dentistry but I didn't think that a lump on her gums would be considered part of this $600.00 claim. According to the person on the phone it is! I don't understand this. If my dog had a lump on her back it would be covered but because it's in her mouth it's only covered up to the $600.00. I'm disappointed. I also think they should supply a booklet outlining in detail what is covered and what is not covered. As pet owners we only get a very simplified version on line without a detailed booklet to refer to.
