Great experience with coverage for emergency life saving surgery
I was in a very dramatic situation with my dog Zsa Zsa, who was diagnosed with a tumor on her spleen which was threatening to rupture at any moment in her abdomen, leading to death. I was given an hour from the surgeon to decide if to put Zsa Zsa to sleep or perform an expensive surgery that I couldn't afford. In that hour, I was not only able to reach Healthy Paws but a very friendly customer service associate was able to give me enough certainty that the surgery was going to be covered that I gave the go-ahead. Zsa Zsa survived the anesthesia, the operation and the recovery and is now again healthy. And Healthy Paws, after a very quick review, covered the contractually stipulated amount. Trupanion is great.
Every claim I have made with Trupanion has always been great. This time there was new girl at my vets office and she didn't put the claim through like they usually do at my vet so I had to file the claim on line. It was really easy didn't take hardly anytime at all and the cheque came within a week. I will always get pet insurance through Trupanion.

Progress isn't always easier.
filing the claim online took longer than when I used to just put the papers in an envelope and mailed them. I didn't have the necessary equipment to scan documents and then email them. my husband had to take them and do them on his work desktop. however the claim turn around time was faster than previous claims.
