Never ending infection

I have two little fur babies,Misty and Hershey who love to play with each other. Well one day while playing Hershey bit Misty a little too hard and caused a puncture. I took her to the vet and she needed stitches. Well that was not the end of it. The area got infected and I had to go back to the vet for antibiotics and this time got an E-Collar. I thought I had solved the problem however the infection did not go away and I had to get more antibiotics. She still wasn't getting better. After a 3rd visit to the vet and 3 rounds of antibiotics I discovered that it was Hrdhey that was licking the area!!! Thank goodness for Petfirst. They helped me with the initial visit and all of the follow-ups.

Not good for adopted dogs

So far this insurance has denied 90% of my claims. I adopted 2 dogs and, knowing they might have serious problems, got this pet insurance. First of all, the $500 deductible is PER INDIVIDUAL CLAIM. I thought it was like medical insurance and it was $500 for the year. So after 6 tests that were under $500 each, nothing was reimbursed. Also, they just rejected my latest claim for having teeth extractions for my dog because they said it was a pre-existing condition! Even though it was diagnosed for the first time while I owned the dogs! What, I don't get paid because the puppy farm never bothered to take care of their teeth? This insurance is useless and I'm cancelling it.

World Cancer Day is Feb 4th, Dogs suffer too!

Our elderly female Chow Shepherd K9 is the center of our family with her delightful smile. She had been under the weather for a couple of her past 10 years with different skin issues and sore back hips. We did not see Lymphoma coming but it arrived with a vengeance. Dogs are pack animals and will not complain so it was a moment of guilt that I had to process to wonder why I hadn't seen the signs earlier. Then the appointments happen and the sense of urgency to act quickly and you need to decide on going through treatment it not. The option to go into treatment is less of a sting if you have pet insurance. We chose to treat. Not an easy choice. It is time commitment and money does flow like beer at a bar but the choice is not based on cash at hand. Embrace Pet Insurance has been better than expected and easy to talk with when needed.

Elbow dysplasia

Trupanion immediately ok'd the surgery that the orthopedic veterinarian wanted to do even though the amount of the claim far exceeded what I had paid in premiums as this is a 7 month old puppy. What a great fee lining knowing I could get everything done and hopefully will have a sound and happy dog in the near future. Thank you the staff is great to work with helpful and friendly

Wonderful, reliable company

Embrace is the best!! One of my kitties got unexpectedly ill and needed surgery in January, and I sent in multiple claims in a matter of a few weeks to Embrace, and each one was dealt with quickly and professionally. Embrace did exactly what they said they would, and they have brought me so much peace of mind during this process. Thank you so much, Embrace!

kudos

Tamzen Bennet, my customer rep to time explaining everything I needed to know. If she had no answer, she went the extra mole to contact the right department and person for amswers. She is a great assest to your company. A good listener. Caring, supportive and you can tell she lives what she does in the interest of her employer and the pet owner. She deserves a good raise. Someone who is dedicated in customer service would make a great Supervisor to that Separtment. A good role model and a mentor for others. Thank youTamzen.

Hooray for acupuncture coverage

I am so pleased that acupuncture is covered. My Fanny has chronic limb weakness/arthritis and it is heartbreaking to see her have so much mobility trouble. The acupuncture is helping and it is a relief to know Pet's Best supports this type o treatment. I only rate it a 9 because it took awhile to turn the claim around.

Kennel cough covered

My 6 month-old puppy became ill and was diagnosed with infectious canine tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) this past December. She had gotten the recommended vaccinations, but had contracted it anyway. We had to pay for the vet visits and antibiotics thought to be necessary to get her better. I emailed the claim forms from two different visits to Embrace, and my claim was completed and I received my reimbursement within two weeks. I had already met my $200 policy deductible, so was reimbursed a full 80% of my expenses. My claim was done quickly and efficiently by Alissa Tyminski, but it took me a few days to cash the payment checks. I received a follow-up email from Embrace co-founder Laura Bennett within a few days to make sure that I received my payment. As usual, the customer service I receive from Embrace is without parallel.
