Outstanding company!

Absolutely love Healthy Paws! I reviewed numerous pet insurance companies before insuring my chocolate lab puppy. I chose Healthy Paws and I've never regretted the decision. Claims are handled quickly, questions are answered within a few hours, and the customer service is amazing. The 90% reimbursement level was a big selling point for me. I chose a plan with $100 and 90% reimbursement. I've filed three claims with them since signing up in 2013, and all three were fantastic. I recommend them 100%. I've even talked my friend into signing up her puppy, and she's thrilled with them too.

Reimbursement very slow

I have been a customer for many years. They used to pay back within the month and now it is 3-4 months before I see my money. They were good to me, in 2013, when my dog maxed out under Cardiovascular and was requiring Ascites drainage due to heart problems. They switched that over to GI system to save me money. Monthly fee is 50% less than some others so I stick with them.

Well worth it (two times)

I wrote a review of our Goldendoodle, Bailey, who was bitten by a rattlesnake, and before that had a tumor excised, and all turned out well and ASPCA was very understanding and did everything that they said they would do. I don't remember writing a review for our Golden Retriever, Riley, who died of cancer at four years old. ASPCA was as good then, some five years ago, as they are today. And we don't submit the small stuff. It has to be an emergency, and they are always there.

Very Satisfied

This was my first experience with using any type of pet insurance. I had complete coverage on my puppy, which turned out to pay off with all of her surgeries for fixing and her gastropexy. The amount the coverage cost turned out to be as much as the surgeries over 1 year. I purchased the injury insurance for my 4 year old, and fortunately did not need to make any claims, but it was a relief to know it was there. I would highly recommend having some type of coverage, even if minimal to help, I have seen so many pet owners over this past year come into some medical issues with their beloved pets that put them in severe hardships, and each time I heard them talk about it, I felt so relieved knowing that if that happened to me, I would only have to endure a fraction of the costs they did. The piece of mind is great to have, along with the friendly staff. Anytime I had any questions there was a friendly staff member to answer my questions and they never gave me any issues over the claims process. It was simple and convenient the way they have the claims set up. I will definitely continue to insure my babies through this company.

Embrace is a Must for all Pet Parents!

We have an English Bulldog that is just over a year old and we found out that she developed skin allergies. We knew that this health issue was possible with the breed and so when we got the diagnosis I was very thankful that we had her covered. This will be a life long illness and my husband and I have the peace of mind that she will be given the very best care because the cost to treat her is manageable with Embrace.

Scammers

I've been a loyal client for 10 years, paying my premiums without claims every month diligently. I found out that my premium was increasing exponentially to the point where I was paying 30% more than what I normally pay. I ended up paying more for my dog's insurance than for my own life insurance premiums. Not only that I feel that even if God forbid something happens to my dog I highly doubt PetCare would help me in any way. When I went to call customer service to try to discuss why my premiums were increasing so rapidly, I spoke to 4 different people: Yan, Kevin, Angela, and Elizabeth Macintosh. All of them gave me fabrication after fabrication about how they can't do anything about my premium cost. All they could offer me was a decreased policy amount with PREEXISTING conditions such as eyes, ears, limpness in the paws so that if anything were to ever happen to those areas on my dog, it wouldn't be covered. Which is ridiculous because where else do dogs get hurt/age? If you can STAY AWAY from this insurance company. There are nothing but fraud.

Great pet insurance

We have had great experiences with Embrace. They have covered issues ranging from intestinal problems to ACL surgery. We never could have afforded the surgery without Embrace. Our dog was 3 years old and she was like an elderly dog trying to get up. We could only walk her about 5-10 minutes at a time before she had to rest. The surgery turned her back into the young lively dog she was before the leg problem. We've had 3 dogs and she is the first one we have had insurance for. Our claims have all been settled quickly and to our satisfaction.

Best pet insurance ever

Before we chose Embrace, I did a lot of research. Embrace came out on top by far. They are VERY easy to reach and submitting a claim is a snap. The staff is very well trained and has prompt responses to claims. I have not had one single issue with them. We have had their insurance for many years, and intend to do so for many more!

Consider better policy limits

First, had a $1,000 claim for spine to discover there was no coverage. Now, have a $6,000 brain tumor, but apparently a $500 limit. I have no experience with other carriers, so I don't know if it the premium is competitive or if such low limits are standard. Obviously, there are multiple plans but, there was no discussion of options at the time I purchased it. So, I don't know if I would recommend.
