I love Healthy Paws
I love Healthy Paws! After my elderly dog passed away a few years ago, I promised myself that I would get pet insurance for any future pets (I didn't have it for my dog & I regretted that). When I adopted my two cats at 12 weeks, I got quotes from every pet insurer I could find. I found Healthy Paws to be the best value--the coverage I was looking for at the best price backed by a name I trusted (Chubb companies). I have been really pleased with my decision ever since & especially this year when my 2-year-old boy cat developed urinary issues & then blockages. It was determined that he needed the PU surgery. It was such stress reliever knowing that the cost would be covered by my plan. And while my vet's office wouldn't accept direct pay from Healthy Paws, I knew that once I submitted my claim for reimbursement, I would have the money in my account within just a few days. Even with a couple of complications post-surgery, I never had to worry about a complicated or drawn-out claims process. In fact, my last claim was submitted on a Saturday & the money was in my account by Tuesday. Just amazing! And on top of that, they sent me an email asking how my cat was doing, which I appreciated so much. I'm really happy that I chose Healthy Paws & I cannot recommend them enough.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!
After visiting our vet which anyone who has a non-human baby knows is very expensive. I called Trupanion spoke to a representative and within a couple minutes I was online submitting a picture of the recent and previous bill, a couple questions. The very next day all processed. Check will be in the mail. Dosen't get any better then that. After seeing this review a few weeks later, I have to correct something. Just when I thought it was as good as it could get.. The check wasn't sent in the mail, two days later it was in my bank account. I couldn't get any happier.

Healthy Paws is excellent pet insurance…
Healthy Paws is excellent pet insurance co. Thru my 6 1/2 years with H.P. , we have never had a problem with claims being paid, after claim review. That is the mark of a quality insurance co.

My experience with Embrace has been great
My experience with Embrace has been wonderful. I switched from another carrier because Embrace offered more options at a good price. The staff has been very helpful and knowledgeable. I have had a couple of strange situations and the staff at Embrace was able to guide me through.

Embrace Insurance only worth purchasing when puppy is weeks old
For most dogs, Embrace insurance is only worth getting when your puppy is weeks old. "Chronic" and "pre-existing" conditions are only covered if there are not any, ANY, previously documented vet visits before you first purchase the policy. Additionally, and again with most dogs, with such high annual deductibles you're better off putting away $50 a month for your pet for emergencies and letting that savings grow each month. Otherwise, customer service is prompt and courteous and submitting claims is easy.

Affordable pet insurance that actually covers things!
Affordable monthly payment, low deductible, and it’s so easy to submit claims on their site! My claims have always been approved quickly and I’m reimbursed via direct deposit in a few days. Like any other pet insurance, Healthy paws has some fine print when it comes to what’s not covered - but that info is very clear and easy to find on their website. We are very pleased with what they’ve covered - including our dogs monthly pain medications, and her major knee surgery! I’ve called their customer service before and gotten quick and friendly answers to my questions... They even checked in via email to see how she was recovering.

If I could have left ZERO stars that is…
If I could have left ZERO stars that is what I would have done. This insurance is a SCAM. I adopted a puppy, got her pet insurance on the advice of my Vet and within the month she got a UTI. I submitted the claims and they stated that it was a pre-existing condition and prior to coverage starting. I paid the at set-up on 05/22/2021 and the UTI was diagnosed 06/20/2021, Trupanion stated coverage had not started. But, the payment on 05/22/2021 and the next on 06/22/2021 would say otherwise. They also WILL NOT cover diagnostic testing or treatment. My advice is beware, if your pet has exhibited any symptoms prior at a Vet exam (Trupanion requires ALL pet visits & Dr. notes with their claim submission) even once in their life it will forever be considered a "pre-existing condition" by Trupanion. So save your money on monthly premiums, it just isn't worth it.
