The representative that I spoke to, Shannon, was excellent. Not only did she do a good job for me she also did a good job for Trupanion. She took ownership of the situation and resolved it in a timely, professional and courteous manner. If all customer representatives worked like Shannon, there would be 99.99 percent of customers that were satisfied, happy people. I put 99.99 percent because there are just some people that can not be happy no matter what you do.

It's been 2 weeks and my claim is still open.
It's been 2 weeks and my claim is still open. Representative informed me that Trupanion is currently behind on claims and gave no timeline for mine to be processed. Excellent. Guess I'll just keep waiting....

Trupanion is the best insurance company but recently I have been disappointed.
Trupanion is the best insurance company but recently I have been disappointed. I have been paying approx. 80 dollars a month for a year and have gotten 30 dollars back from 3 claims. There is very little that actually gets covered and I have a fairly low deductible. I am considering cancelling my membership to be honest.

Kelcie was very pleasant and helpful.
Kelcie was very pleasant and helpful. My low rating is not related to this incident, but simply due to my perception that customer service is no longer as outstanding as it was. Claims are no longer processed at the speed they once were, I find this disappointing and used to whole heartedly recommend Trupanion. I hope this improves.

i ADOPTED A SHELTER ANIMAL. Because of the crowded nature of shelters, the likelihood of shelter animals having some preexisting condition is very high. So far, virtually every issue, from inappetance to sneezing seems to be disqualified as being related in some way to early diaherria symptoms. I question the value of this coverage for anyone adopting and giving the best possible care to a shelter animal. I will be interested to see if the latest expenses I am about to submit are also disqualified.
