Reliable and caring associates

On Nov.9th our cat Wimpy was diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus. The vet put him on Vetsulin insulin. He has a blood glucose curve test done very month to see our he isresponding to insulin. Submitted claim to ASPCA. Good service!

No hassle timely service

My 9 year old Doberman female and best friend went through a five month period of decline and weight and appetite loss. It started with what was an apparent incontinence. My Vet did go down the rabbit hole as she continued to lose weight. She was drinking 24 ozs of water and having numerous accidents. She was also not eating. We finally took her to an internal medicine Vet. They would not let her go home. Emergency surgery yielded a ten pound tumor. Extraskelatal osteosarcoma (bone cancer outside of the bones). We were told she would only live another week. Three weeks later she is eating and happy. Embrace never questioned any claim and within one day of submission of claims they responded with coverage approval. They eliminated the additional stress of financial obligation from the already a very emotional and stressful time. Thank You Embrace

rip off!!!

They doubled my one policy and it bounced my bank of course. Then they told me I can't downgrade until the next renewal, which means I have to pay double for a year so I can save money??? Really??? Then they take almost double my regular payment for my older dog from my bank, without notice and even though I have my 2017 payment plan all laid out in their stupid little fancy books they sent out. I will never use them ever again and I am taking all our displays down from work.

Impressed with customer service and speedy process

I've had other pet insurance in the past and Healthy Paws is hands down superior. Claims are simple to file and processed quickly.

WHAT A JOKE!!!

I adopted a kitten from a shelter, so I had the 30 days of free insurance. I had her 1 week and took her to the veterinarian to get checked out and she had an upper respiratory infection. I spent $131 at the vet thinking, thank God I have the insurance because I'm a single mom and can't really afford this unexpected bill right now! So, after having the vet fill out everything she was supposed to fill out, and me doing everything I was supposed to do ( following the guidelines EXACTLY for how to submit a claim ) I get an email a couple days later that I did not send everything they needed. They needed all previous veterinarian visits and her adoption info. So I sent it. I waited another week, still no response from them. I called, 3 times, they hadn't received my info. I faxed it again & called 2 more times. Finally, 4 weeks after my visit, I talk to a lady (wish I knew her name) and she said I needed to send even MORE information. At this point I'm irritated. I was told if I did everything I was supposed to do, I was supposed to be reimbursed NO LATER than 2 weeks. I told her it was a joke! I cancelled the policy I had set up to take affect after the free 30 day adoption deal and I got the information or what else they came up with that I needed to send (seems like only to make it difficult for people so they give up) and get off the phone with her. Not even 15 minutes after I get off the phone, I get an email that my claim was denied. WHY?!?!?! I JUST got the new information you guys wanted from me. I'm pretty sure whoever I talked to was just a bitter, cold hearted person and denied my claim for fun, because she could. I am going to let the animal shelter know about this so hopefully they will stop using you. I am going to let everybody know what a horrible company this is so hopefully you all go out of business. Rude employees and denying claims for NO LEGITIMATE REASON. Even the shelter said there's no way I shouldn't get reimbursed. It wasn't a pre-existing condition, everything matched EXACTLY with what you are supposed to cover and I was denied after sending information and calling to talk to all your horrible employees for an entire month. WHAT. A. JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please do not waste your money!

I have had Nationwide for a year and never submitted a claim until recently. I took my cat to the vet where my vet said she had hyperextension and referred us stating she would need surgery. I took her to Med Vet and they did several exams on her trying to determine why she was walking flat on her paws/legs. After numerous tests and $1,200 no cause could be determined. She also didn't require surgery. I submitted the claim along with vet records from Med Vet and her history at our vet. Previous visits were for skin, ears and teeth related issues. It took a month and a half for them to come back and deny the claim. I called and messaged the company to find out they sent a questionnaire to our local vet (one who referred us) when asked if my vet thought the condition was chronic she stated yes..that was why they denied the claim. My vet only preformed a very minimal exam. She did not even see her walk. She was also seen 2 weeks prior due to vomiting and dehydration. She had no issues with her paws/legs at that time and was even hospitalized to get fluids. They obviously did not take into consideration the very detailed information provided by the vet who spent hours examing her. I cancelled the policies. This company is so fraudulent and they will try to find anyway to deny a claim. Please do not waste your money on this. You will truly end up very disappointed.

Worst customer service

I just got off the phone with one of the most unkind, unhelpful women I have ever spoken with. I have been waiting for my replacement dog tag for over 5 months, with no information on when it's coming. This was supposed to be a lifetime guarantee, yet the tag started chipping weeks after having it (and my dog doesn't even wear his collar in the house!!! It's only used for walks!!!!) so, I sent it back and haven't received anything. That was early November and it is now February. I called each month since then and no one has helped me figure out when it would be arriving. They kept telling me to call back in a couple weeks, call back in a couple weeks. This woman, and I quote, said "I'm not going to tell you when it's going to be there because that'll just make you more mad." Of course I'm mad!!! My dog has had now 2 instances of getting out of a fenced dog park and crossing the street. Thank god I caught him because no one would know what TERRIBLE microchip company to call if they found him because he doesn't have his tag! Just a disgusting company. Find people who actually enjoy working for you and maybe they won't be as miserable as the jerk I just spoke to on the phone.

Stay Away

We had this insurance policy for a year and a half. For every claim they want to say it's pre-existing condition as an excuse. Our dog is only 2 1/2 yrs old. So thankfully we figured out early before we invested thousands only to be denied a claim every time. We've only filed two claims and both were denied which the pre-existing condition they claim was in no way to be known by them or us. The dog is only 2 1/2 it's not like he's 10.

Reimbursement FAST and easy!

My 3 year old Brittany suddenly started with seizures!! Hysterical we call our vet and then had to see a neurologist. After a consultation and an MRI we submitted the documents online and submitted. I got a check within 7 days and after the deductible I got 90% of the bills returned before my credit card bill arrived!!!! And they are concerned about your pet and services. They called a few days after and sent emails about 2 weeks after. I can't say enough GOOD things about Healthypaws!!!!!
