We Submitted Our First Claim On T...

We submitted our first claim on this insurance due to a neck injury suffered by our standard longhair dachshund. This claim was for the initial visit to the animal emergency room. From the day we filed to the day the money was deposited in our bank account was only 9 days. Thank you!!!

So happy I insured Bianca Rose with Embrace!

I decided to insure my new puppy as soon as I adopted her. My last golden had many health issues and my thinking was that if I had pet insurance, according to Murphy's Law, I wouldn't need it. Boy was I wrong. My puppy became very sick at 2 & 1/2 months. Embrace covered 80% of approved charges after my deductible was paid. They were prompt and kept me up-dated as my claim went through their system. I chose Embrace because they covered many types of treatment provided by my holistic vet which conventional vets do not provide. This type of coverage was probably the deciding factor in choosing Embrace.

Easy to understand and straight forward with policies

Easy to know what you are getting when you sign for your policy. I received my refund in about 2-3 weeks after I filed the claim. Website is great/easy to use!

Wouldn't B Without It!

We acquired our beloved Sooty from a "shelter??" He weighed 7.4#, had more fur missing than on him, covered with fleas, ear mites, and worms. We drove him straight to a vet, thinking he would probably have to be put down. The vet's first conclusion matched ours. :-( Well, 3 days later, tests, treatments, 2 baths and $500.00 later, he was given a clean bill of health. The vet said he purred thru' most of his exams and procedures. Just take him home & love him. We had Sooty for 1 year and 8months, weighing in at 12# with luxurious, long black fur!! Unfortunately, as an older cat with past unknown trauma, he developed kidney issues, which he finally succumbed to. If we hadn't gotten him insurance, we'd be doomed! All covered claims were paid and in our automatic account before we knew it most times. Pet owners can't afford NOT to have ASPCA.

It's health insurance like any other kind of insurance

Well I feel like I have been getting most of my money's worth from this insurance I have. I can't say what I personally pay as the price is different for every type and breed of pet you have. This here is for my Russian Siberian kitten, what I can talk about is the wellness rewards which is a max of $650.00 that you can get back in return within 12 months for your pet. It does cover pretty much 80% of what it says and I will rate that a 8 out of 10 because an antibiotic which is a medication that is pretty much "METRONIDAZOLE Compound" that should have been 100% refunded under the wellness rewards was indeed NOT refunded and instead went towards my $200.00 yearly deductible. My cat ate something he shouldn't have and got sick from his stomach and had Diarrhea and a little bit of blood from his anus being sore from the constant Pooping. I got him tested at my local vet that I take my chinchilla to and he was found NEGATIVE for worms or any kind of parasites. Anyways, his prescription food was Covered though so that's good and saved me $50.00. His first initial pet visit was free for me at my vet but it is also a covered and 100% refundable service under the (wellness rewards terms and conditions) over all i would still recommend them as insurance is important for a pet just as much as it is for humans to have. The only thing I really dislike about this kind of insurance is the fact that you have to pay for everything out of pocket first before you can get any kind of coverage. So should my cat ever break his paw and I don't exactly have all the money to pay for his, any vet or pet hoslital would most likely deny me service if I can't pay them on the spot even with insurance. As you may know, this insurance requires you to pay the vet in full and then you send the receipt/invoice by email to them. They then take about 15 days to 1 month to send you a check if it's a standard covered wellness visit but may take up to 2 months if it's a injury or illness as they have to investigate what happened and see if its an actual covered ingury or illness. Also make sure that your pet is 100% healthy BEFORE you obtain insurance because if he or she is slightly underweight by a few ounces, they will use that against you for the whole 12 months as a "Pre Existing Condition" just like they did with my kitten for being about 5 or 6 oz under weight from the breeder i got him from. I was very upset with the breeder as my Siberian was $1,300.00 USD you would think she could have at least Fed him well. For that reason some of my stuff has not been covered under the wellness or regular insurance. So just take that as my point of view. I am Not sure if I'll continue with embrace after the year. I might just try out my vet and their own insurance next as all the wellness visits are at no out of pocket cost as long as you pay your monthly premium vs embrace where you have to pay out of pocket first and then send your invoice and wait for a check if you are covered under their guide lines. Just my honest thoughts on all this. So number 1. Make sure your pet is healthy prior to obtaining insurance so that your pet can be 100% covered from any illness or injury it causes it self. 2. Have a separate credit card with at least $5,000 specifically for your per should he or she need such an expense so you won't look like a Neglectful pet owner to your local pet hospital. 3. Keep your pet out of trouble and make sure your house is clean so he oe she wont eat anything they are not supposed to eat. And that's pretty much it.

Excellent Service

I've had to make many claims for my aging labrador retriever, including one multi-thousand dollar claim for emergency surgery. The website is very user-friendly, the customer service is outstanding, and that claims are processed quickly. I am active with a rescue organization that fosters dogs before placing them for adoption and I have recommended ASPCA pet insurance to everyone in the organization.

When your pet needs medical care it is good to know that Embrace is there to help support you financially.

It is nice to have the peace of mind knowing that expensive medical care for your pet is obtainable with little out of pocket money because Embrace is there to help. The cost of the insurance is reasonable compared to the benefits it offers for medical expenses.

Everyone Handled Luna'S Illness A...

Everyone handled Luna's illness and her eventual passing with the utmost professionalism and compassion. It was a devastating and traumatic blow for us and I am so glad that there was no drama or second-guessing of the claims submitted, as I don't think i would have been prepared to relive/revisit such a devastating experience. I will definitely consider a policy if/when we decide to rescue another fur baby - all the best - Val.
