At first I was not sure how the experience was going to go. We had some pre-existing conditions on our puppy's policy and a few claim issues where I was frustrated, but recently they have worked with us and been responsive and proved why I decided to go with them in the first place. Excellent service, and I am very happy with the way they have handled our policy.

Obviously, anyone would love to pay less for anything (especially insurance) but the services and coverage is absolutely reasonable and surprisingly expansive. I haven't had to use it (thankfully) but sleep better at night knowing that I'm not alone if something happens to my best friend!

Higgins was attacked by a pit bull in a dog park. He had to have surgery on his leg to remove three teeth from the bone. Nationwide paid promptly and was concerned about his well being. One of the best purchases I have made for my pets!

I do not have an opinion yet as I have not been reimbursed for the claim yet and are awaiting that process.

I had a once healthy dog that ended up being diagnosed with Cushings disease and boy is that one hard disease to manage, the cost is exorbitant!!!

I had called to find out if we had any coverage for end of life expenses (in this case - cremation) for our dog. The Trupanion representative was compassionate and professional, but we did not have that coverage since we had never added it. I think it would be nice if Trupanion could provide just a bit of coverage for end of life expenses, as part of the most basic policy offered, just as a gesture. Almost all pet owners have to go through this and it's such an emotional time. It would be a great way for Trupanion to have that "follow through" with us, the customers, at one of our most vulnerable moments. Thank you for reading..

The represenative said I would be getting a telphone call today about my cancellation of Greg's policy., that has not yet occured. I cancelled Greg's insurance yesterday due to the cost and his age and health.

Our opinions/attitudes vary considerably based on whether you pay on the claims that we feel are legitimate. Hopefully you will. If not, then we will have to take a hard look at the entire plan.
