MetLife Pet Insurance
We purchased this insurance just as a precaution and the service that we received was excellent. The insurance company provided us with a reimbursement for Cheddar's CCL surgery and associated follow-ups in a timely manner. Overall, our inquiries with their customer service were effective and the actual claim process was very easy. We are very pleased with their process and result!
Paid for the top coverage....$104 per month. Never filed since signing up...just paid. Had my dog develop a hormone problem. Will not cover it because they are saying it's dermatitis. She is on medication for a hormone imbalance...but I can dispute it. They will DENIGH EVERYTHING AND MAKE YOU WORK FOR YOUR PAID COVERAGE!!!! GARBAGE COMPANY! Must be others, perhaps a class action suit is necessary.
I submitted a claim for expenses due to an emergency room for my cat. She had to stay overnight so you can imagine the expense. I am so happy that I have insurance as this helped relieve some of our financial burdens. I uploaded all necessary paperwork (invoices, past medical history, and follow-up visit expenses with my vet) via their website. This process was super easy! My claim was reviewed and in a "complete" status within a couple of days. I received my claim reimbursement check the next day!! I highly recommend Pet Insurance!
My little Frenchie recently had to undergo neck surgery to fix a disk that was pinching his spinal cord. I'm insured through Healthy Paws and I couldn't be happier with them. They were kind enough to reach out and ask how Momo (my Frenchie) was doing and I'm going to post my response below
"Thanks for reaching out! It's been a tough road but he seems to be showing good improvement and gets his stitches out tomorrow. I feel so bad for the little guy.
Also, I'm very thankful for your company and the service you provide! Claims are so easy to make and approval is swift without jumping through hoops. Takes a lot of stress out of an already very stressful experience!
Merry Christmas from me and Momo!

I can't recommend them enough!
My Dog, Zoey, recently contracted Bone Cancer.... probably the most dreadful thing that a pet owner could ever face.... mental, emotionally, and monetarily.... I thank God I have the foresight to invest in pet insurance.... and Trupanion is the best!!!!..... just for my Zoey they paid for 2 ACL operations, various ailments and Bone Cancer.... Amputation and Chemotherapy.... they are a blessing and probably the reason that I am not struggling to keep my beloved dog alive!!!!.... They are a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for....24/7 HUMAN interaction, an easy claim app, and they pay the Animal Hospital directly..... and No Limit on claims..... I HIGHLY recommend Trupanion.... My friends and Family have also gotten policies from Trupanion,,,,
I have been using this pet insurance on two dogs for several years. There are other companies providing pet insurance that may be cheaper or have different benefits, but I have had such great service that I would not change. Submitting claims on the website is easy, every time I have had to contact customer service, the people are helpful and kind. Even when my 1-year-old dog died unexpectedly and I had to call to cancel, the representative was amazing. I also received a sympathy card in the mail--no one takes the time to do those things anymore. I think that customer service is just as important as the price and services offered. I am sure there are other options with less services/costs, but I think I made the best choice.
Having adopted another older dog following the demise of a previous older dog that had about $10,000 worth of health problems in the 2.5 years I had her, I decided to try pet heath insurance with my latest elderly dog adoption. Unfortunately after nearly 3 years of good luck and great experience, my dog has developed liver cancer. After tests and biopsy, it looks like supportive/comfort care is what we're left with. Trupanian worked as advertised. Easy to file a claim on line. I got the results of my claim acceptance in less than a week. My reimbursement will be arriving by check in the near future. Reallyi excellent service and good coverage as well.
We adopted a dog in February, 2021. Since he was transported from down South with a van full of dogs, he developed kennel cough that needed to be treated shortly after he arrived. He fully recovered from that with antibiotics. That was the start of our issues with Embrace.
He developed another cough, with no close contact with other dogs, several months later. This was determined to be a "pre-existing condition", apparently simply because it was respiratory, and even though the earlier cough had completely cleared up and he had been healthy for months.
Our most recent interaction with Embrace was the topper. He was diagnosed with heartworm, and you guessed it, the claim was rejected as a pre-existing condition, even though I see no connection between respiratory infections that have been cured and newly-diagnosed heartworm, and neither does out vet.
Apparently, everything is now a pre-existing condition in Embrace's eyes. I don't see what the point is in pet insurance if nothing, even things that are seemingly unrelated, aren't covered.
It may make more sense to cancel the policy, save the premiums, and pay out of pocket, since that's what we're doing anyway.
