Two vets in different states recommended Trupanion

So far, I haven't had to file a claim, and I hope that I never have to do so, but it gives me peace of mind to know that my wonderful dog Bunny of 13 years is protected. I chose Trupanion because both my former veterinarian (in Florida) and my current veterinarian (in Tennessee) recommended it over any other company. When I tell people that I bought medical insurance for my dog, they often seem surprised. I guess that they've never loved a dog the way that I love mine.

Superior service

I have three cats insured with ASPCA, and I am so glad I chose this company. The timely processing of claims is much appreciated, and I love how representatives call to check up on my cats after a claim to see how they are doing. I love that there are three different levels of coverage to choose from and the multi-pet discount. I also love their policy regarding pre-existing conditions, which is one of the reasons why I picked ASPCA over other pet insurance providers.

MORE THAN I COULD HAVE ASKED FOR.....

I want to offer a testimonial to Healthy Paws (HP) pet insurance company. In February of 2016 I rescued Daphne, a 10-year-old toy poodle, from the local “kill shelter”. As a condition for enrollment I took Daphne to our local Veterinarian for a standard “nose-to-toes” physical evaluation. Fortunately, Daphne got a clean bill of health and I went ahead and enrolled her with HP. I had never purchased pet insurance since I am very skeptical of the industry. Statements of benefits that appear too good to be true usually are. But having had several uninsured pets I thought it might be the prudent thing to do so I did my due diligence and investigated several companies before ultimately deciding to go with HP. Boy am I glad I did! You could say I’m a “loving, responsible, exhaust all means possible, fur-baby parent” (without consideration to cost as long as medical options do not compromise quality of life). In the past I have spent a small fortune for the care and treatment of my “Girls” without having the financial relief that a good pet insurance company provides. For example, I spent nearly $25,000 over a two-year period of time before Tutu, my mini Schnauzer, finally succumbed to congestive heart failure at the age of eight. Back to Daphne’s story, she was the classic “circus poodle” with a ton of energy and an incredible zest for life. People were amazed when they learned that she was a “senior” of 10 years of age. Making a long story short, in December of 2016 (just after her 11th birthday), Daphne was diagnosed with TCC (Transitional Cell Carcinoma), a very aggressive form of the disease. Thank goodness for Healthy Paws! All the incredible benefits that were stated in their policy declaration page were in fact, truthful. Customer service was “top shelf” and the HP representatives couldn’t have been more helpful and compassionate. In the seven month’s that Daphne struggled with her illness there was never an issue with any claim forms submitted. And as unbelievable as this might sound, an explanation of benefits was usually provided within 24 hours if not sooner. (Note: I submitted claims as attachments via email). One final thing you might like to consider before making a decision if Healthy Paws is right for you. Not too long after Daphne passed away I received a phone call and an email from HP expressing their sympathy and offering condolences for my loss. I was totally caught off-guard by this. It was truly an act “above and beyond the

Good to Have

I think it's definitely good to have the pet insurance, although I don't like it that the monthly rate goes up as your pet gets older.

Smart decision to go with this company!

I enrolled my young dog with Embrace early this year after a friend recommended the company both for the reasonable cost of insurance and the easy-to-deal with staff. I thought coverage would provide some protection against potential costly problems in my girl's later years. Imagine my shock when she became injured and needed expensive surgery and treatment! This company couldn't have been more responsive and the staff is awesome--nice to deal with, clear, and as helpful as they can be. Claims are easy to file; staff reviews claims within a specified time period; and payment is provided quickly and directly to your account if you request it. I am so happy I chose Embrace. Dealing with ill or injured pets is a nightmare; having help with the high cost of veterinary care eases some of that pain.

Cold and mean about my dog's death!!

Watch out, they do NOT care about their customers!! I've had insurance for my Norfolk Terrier with them for 8 years. When I called to cancel it due to her death two days ago they insisted that I needed to know the exact time of her cremation to use my benefits. I DONT WANT TO KNOW!!!!! Then they asked if I'd euthanized her yet AFTER I told them she died two days ago. They are picky and will find ANY reason not to pay what you are due. And they obviously couldn't care less about their customers or the pets they are insuring. Over 8 years I've fought them for many claims but this truly takes the cake. They really are an AWFUL company! Who cares if we cancel a day before she's cremated???? After 8 years of the top tier of coverage any decent human being would not require me to give them the horrible details of the exact moment my adorable dog was cremated. Wouldn't it be nice if THEY had a heart and contacted Pet Angel for me?? Instead I have to call them and find out every detail so I can get a little bit of help with something that darn near kills me to have to do. What a sad thing to do to your customers.

The only plan who has no deductable!

I have had this plan for 9 pets dogs and cats! They have been very helpful no deductible and no max out. They covered 90% of our dogs with cancer treatment as well as meds! I couldn't have been happier!

Preventative Care Reimbursement

Submitted claims for preventative care since i purchased the extra insurance for him. The claim response was fast and using direct deposit was simple.
