Our beagle suddenly stopped eating!
We live in Ohio and our rescue beagle from Florida suddenly stopped eating. Our vet referred us to a specialist in Dayton, who referred us to a specialist in Cincinnati. It took several days of intensive care and our dog is fine now. It was expensive, but our ASPCA Pet Health Insurance covered most of the cost. Thanks you!

If you have multiple pets, you need Nationwide Pet Insurance
I have been with VPI (not Nationwide) for over 10 years. I have multiple pets, and insurance is a lifesaver for any major illness or medical procedure.

Great safety net to have
This has been a great safety net to have for my little guy. He has had a round of health issues and the reimbursement has been wonderful. The rising cost of annual enrollment as he got older is not great. And we reached his limit on diabetes which stinks too. Otherwise, it's been great . I would plan on having a plan for all future pets.

I tell everyone about trupanion insurance for their pet. It's too late when something tragic happens to your dog and you know you will never be able to help him cuz you can't afford it. With trupanion you can have a very low out-of-pocket expense but no your vet will take care of your dogs problem so that he'll be home again quickly with you enjoying life.

Price increases too much each year.
Price increases too much each year. Last year I had to increase the deductible to stay and this year I only stayed cuz moved to a state where it was cheaper.
