Great Coverage, Especially for Major Expenses. Would Highly Recommend.
Our dachshund, Gretchen, has been covered by Healthy Paws for about 3.5 years now. They've been great throughout her coverage in reimbursing any claims we made. Recently, Gretchen had to have a major and unexpected back surgery to repair some herniated discs in her back. Healthy Paws covered the operation, which was a huge relief for our family. For major expenses like this that could be otherwise unmanageable for families, I'd recommend insurance and Healthy Paws specifically. The only negative i have regarding the service (and pet insurance in general) is that there really isn't a pre-clearance process - if you ask before a surgery, they really won't tell you if it is covered. However, given Healthy Paws relatively broad scope of coverage, we were confident the surgery, MRI, etc. would be covered and proceeded with the operation. We were correct and Healthy Paws promptly processed our claim and reimbursement. We're very satisfied and would recommend Healthy Paws with confidence to other pet owners.

I chose Healthy Paws because it was the top rated pet insurance. I chose the lowest deductible plan and the highest coverage. When my four year old dog suddenly could not walk and needed immediate back surgery, I almost forgot I had the insurance. The final bill would have put me in the hospital right next to my best friend if it wasn't for the insurance. Submitting the claim was easy, it took no more than 2 weeks, and once I was notified the claim was approved, it was direct deposit into my account a few days later. I believe if it safe to assume that if you are responsible enough to look for pet insurance, then you love your pet and would do anything for them, so choose a company with great reviews, like Healthy Paws. The process for the claim was easier than any claim I have ever submitted. I spoke with their customer service once, and it was a breeze. No hassles at all, claim coverage information was in plain sight, so there was no surprises. I have no complaints regarding the entire claim event. Thank you Healthy Paws for existing. I tell everyone who is looking for pet insurance, to choose this company. PS - The doggo mentioned above is getting stronger everyday :-).

Healthy Paws is a lifesaver!
Medical emergencies can really come out of nowhere and I am beyond relieved that I got Healthy Paws very soon after I got my puppy. He has turned out to be quite an accident prone dog and even snapped his tooth as a puppy, requiring expensive dental surgery that I never could’ve afforded without Healthy Paws. The claims process is super easy and reimbursement is always very quick. They also care a lot about your pet, and check up on my dog to see how he’s doing. Pet insurance through Healthy Paws is absolutely worth it for the peace of mind I have knowing that no matter what happens I will be able to afford any emergency care he needs!

Excellent in service and care!
We have had this service for many years and have been very satisfied! the customer service, the online system for claims, and the all round care of this company puts them in my number one spot. When my Doberman Crade Eyian passed away last year they did not hesitate to refund the unused paid insurance, they even sent a card! The staff member who I spoke with was very kind and showed a lot of compassion. Now with Crade gone we have been utilizing the insurance for our other pup named Bella Nox who is 10 now and is going through tests for Cushing Disease , and let me tell you the coverage for all the tests and medications is well worth the monthly payments. Your refund is 2-4 weeks, but submitting everything takes seconds. I have no problem waiting on the refunds as the service is what I truly care about. If information is missing on a claim they will contact you immediately to ensure you get the refund. I fully recommend Pets Plus Us!!

Pet insurance is fundamental
I've had trupanion now for 8-ish years. I've never had an issue with getting my funds back when I submitted the claims. Now, I'm with a vet that sends my information while I'm in the office and trupanion pays their portion so what comes out of my pocket is my share of the bill which makes life so much easier. Be it trupanion or any other pet insurance, I think it is fundamental to have it for your pet. You just never know what might come up. I would have spent thousands of dollars on my dog and all his surgeries throughout the years if it wasn't for the insurance.

Rapidly escalating premiums.
When I first reached out to Trupanion I specifically asked about the increase in premiums and was told that there were very minimal and some years there would be no increase at all. In the 5 years since I've had my dog the monthly premiums are almost double. It has been very disappointing.
