Saved my dog, saved my wallet
I have now filed two claims with Healthy Paws, and each time was such a fast and easy experience. Having Elsa in the hospital was a nightmare, but Healthy Paws made it so that I only had to worry about my dogs health. I will continue to recommend them to everyone that's deciding to get an animal buddy :)

Healthy Paws has been amazing! We have two dogs that both have developed some issues and, if not for Healthy Paws, we could not have afforded the care they needed. The cost is affordable, the claim process is smooth and easy and reimbursement happens very quickly. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance.

Don't have a pet without this coverage!
We had to put down a 7 year old miniature poodle a couple of years ago, when she pancreatitis and diabetes with multiorgan involvement, because we didn't have the funds necessary past an over night ICU stay of over $2000.00. She was SO sick and didn't recognize us. It was a heartbreaking situation worsened by the fact that I could not afford the required treatment for her. I swore that day that I'd never let money be the deciding factor with a pet again. A year later when we got our current toy poodle, I immediately purchased medical coverage for her with Trupanion. I'd done my research ahead of time. So glad I did because she had vomiting and diarrhea out of the blue after she'd been with us for 1 1/2 years. Again, we went to a vet hospital, had special tests, etc.. Memories flooded back in and prayers were answered when Trupanion paid 90% minus a $200 deductible for that bill of $2700.00. They even reimbursed for the prescribed food she needed. Sadly, we've had to follow up with an internist and have an endoscopy with biopsies performed. While we wait for results, Trupanion has already reimbursed $1300.00! My cost for the procedure, tests including x-rays, & the specialist was only $158.00! Their customer support is excellent, so caring, and give clear answers. You can't get quicker service! To some, a monthly premium may seem costly, but for me, compared to the monetary and emotional cost of loosing a beloved pet, it is a God send. I will continue to use Trupanion and recommend it to everyone I know who cares for their pets. I can not say thank you enough!

What would we do without them?!?!
I don't know what I would have done without them. I signed up for healthy paws a few days after I picked up my perfect little pup, he's now 5 years old. This year has been a doozy!! He tore his ACL on the left side in June, the surgery was 5k, he then needed physical therapy, and right when we were clear to get back to normal activity he tore the other side, only 3 months later! This side was 6k because they also found a mass they needed to remove. Over 12k in vet bills in 3 months, and more to come with therapy. Healthy paws saved his quality of life! We simply submit the bills via thier app and within a few days have our 90% refund. They even emailed personally to check in on him after the fact. We do not know what we would do without Healthy Paws, I recommend them to all my friend and anyone I meet with a new puppy.

They have been terrific!
My dog who is covered by a Healthy Paws policy was diagnosed with a nasal tumor recently. Healthy Paws has covered everything per the policy, sending checks quickly. It has given me the rare luxury of making her health care decisions based solely on what will be best for her, with no major concern about my financial situation. I have tight finances, can afford the deductible and copay, and am very happy I made the decision when she joined the family to insure her. So many people say, "just put the money aside that you would pay for insurance." I know that I would never do that, or if I did, would dip into it for say, an unexpected automobile or home repairs. But also, my father told me that you should insure against disasters. My previous experience with canine disasters is that it would take longer than a dog lives to cover the cost of one with the amount I have paid in premiums. For a previous pet, who was not insured, I took out two loans and in the end had the loans but no dog. This is a dire diagnosis, but I can make good decisions and enjoy the time we have together.

I've already done it. And unlimited payout, 90% coverage, select-able deductible, and...math - I can't save what Trupanion can cover if the time comes. I never want to have to decide between finances and my family's care. :)
