Embrace has been a godsend to me; my rottie has had joint issues-he is only 5 but a rescue- and they paid out over 4k in the first year!! I collect from them every year, unfortunately, but they are reasonable with what they cover. I only have the accident/illness plan but has come in handy every year that I have had it!

Fast, easy claim process.
I adopted an older dog and although the monthly payment is a little high, one emergency room visit covers the cost for a year! Trupanion’s claim process is fast and easy. I filed a claim Sunday and had the statement of what they would pay within 2 days. And with direct deposit it will be in my account soon. Highly recommend Trupanion.

Healthy Paws saved my dogs life!
We’ve had Healthy Paws for the last 7 years. We adopted our dog when he was 2 years old. We decided to get pet insurance in case of any surgeries, emergencies or cancer. We wanted to make sure costs wouldn’t keep us from getting our boy the best care possible. He was about 5 when we got him enrolled. Monthly costs ranged from approximately $30-60 the first 5 years and then went from $70-90 the last two years. I think the increase is fair since the policy is aging as well as the pet. For the first 6 years we never met our deductible ($250/80%). Our dog has chronic ulcers and we paid everything out of pocket. Exam fees are not covered. Fast forward and our dog is 12 years old and we are faced with stage 4 nasal cancer. Prior to the diagnosis we were seeing the vet left and right and then oncologists and quickly met our deductible. We got our first claim very quickly and then signed up for direct deposit right into our account. We decided since we had insurance and had done extensive research, to travel out of state for SRT/SRS radiation. I would say total for this cancer journey we have paid approximately $13,000 and have received roughly $10,000 back. We truly believe Healthy Paws is totally worth the investment and are happy to report the radiation treatment went extremely well and our dog is doing great! Healthy Paws even followed up with us via email to see how our baby was doing. Their customer service is top notch. I’ve sent many emails throughout the years with questions and they are always so pleasant and helpful. We recommend them to everyone. There are a lot of choices out there. Make sure you research and understand what is covered and what’s not. The most heartbreaking decision is not whether to say goodbye to a beloved pet, but whether money is the deciding factor. Save yourself the heartache and get your pet insured!!!!

Information given to me in Veterinary office , Lost my previous pet to not having money to treat him and he bled out before my daughter was able to reach a vet who kindly put him down , however he was almost gone BEFORE and had suffered inhumanely ! I was hesitant to get another pet due to my financial situation ,but I was given a wonderful rescued dog whose previous owner took such good care of her but had to re-home her due to their two older rescued fur babies It was instant bonding and I was determine NEVER to have another fur-baby go through what my Scotty did . The gentleman (Dan) from trupanion was so kind, knowledgeable , thorough , gave me a wide selection of affordable deductibles and I chose one that fit my budget . I breathed an audible sigh of relief and know that Lucy is safe Thanks to Dan and trupanion

Nuts about our Basset's policy
My playful Basset Hound was running around the back yard with a huge acorn in his mouth and accidentally swallowed it. Three days later, he had an emergency enterotomy to remove the bowel obstruction. Before leaving the clinic, I paid the vet bill in full and my vet electronically submitted the insurance claim. In less than two weeks, Trupanion notified me they received the claim, processed it, and reimbursed my bank account as promised. Overall, I am very impressed with the service. My family is also grateful our beloved Basset Hound has fully recovered from his injury. Many pet owners want the best for their furry family members, providing them nutritious food, safe toys, and a comfortable, clean bed. Yet, they overlook the most important need for medical care. Every dog I have owned has inherited at least one or more medical conditions that require treatment, especially in their senior years. Vet care costs have dramatically increased for the same reasons that impact human heath care. I strongly recommend getting Trupanion insurance as soon as you welcome a new pet into your home.

The price is very reasonable for a peace of mind knowing that if my fur baby needs medical attention that I have Trupanion by my side to help with costly expenses. The person I enrolled with was very knowledgeable in coverage and so very friendly.
