Very unprofessional
This insurance is a waste of money. The monthly rate is fairly high compared to other insurances. They don't cover dental. My puppy had a lesion that required an FNA with subsequent biopsy. Since the lesion was there before the insurance was in effect I expected the claim to be denied as pre existing. What I find outrageous is that the insurance excluded all and I mean ALL skin conditions now for her. That is highly unprofessional, because they should only exclude THIS one condition that she has and not EVERYTHING. So, beware of this insurance. I have been sending everyone who was asking for recommendations away from this one. I will cancel first chance I get and my second puppy will be insured elsewhere from day 1. Do your research, please - I did not do a good job because I was in a rush and am now stuck with this plan.

Seemed to take a long time to finish once claim was submitted. Dec 1st claim was done never got our payment? It’s been nov 11th since I filed a claim. Seems like a very long process, I have paid in well over what I have got out from the company and does not seem to cover much. I am a little disappointed in the service so far!

Great Customer Service, quick settling of claim, so easy
It was so easy to file my claim, and having the coverage offers me peace of mind that we can get our beloved pet the best care possible, without having to worry that I am going to go broke. Thankfully, we don't have to think twice financially about removing a mass from our dog. getting this policy was one of the best decisions I made.

Grateful I kept the coverage
I got this insurance when I adopted Waldo back in 2012 and never used it until this year. Filing the claim(s) has been really easy and they payout quickly (Less than a week). The one thing that I did not understand (because it is not this way with any other insurance) is this - I have a $500 deductible with a 80/20 coinsurance split. They take the 80/20 on the deductible too which means I actually have to pay out $625 before they consider that I have reached the deductible. That was a bummer.

Trupanion good coverage for my dog.

They have been fantastic in my dogs 7 years. I often questioned paying the monthly charge earlier on but never let my self stop (bad karma) and then when we needed the insurance they have been there. i highly recommend the Trupanion insurance for the pets we love so dearly.

Excellent Coverage
My vet recommended them, it was very easy to sign-up, and they let you choose the deductible and coverage that works for you and your budget. And unlike many others, they don't have caps or limits on reimbursement. So it's comparable in monthly premium price to many other pet insurance plans, but without all the restrictions and conditions. In addition, we really like the deductibles per condition. When your pet has a chronic life-long condition that stretches across years, that type of deductible is a much better value than an annual deductible. And chronic or genetic conditions will cost a ton of money over time as compared to acute issues or the occasional illness, so it was a no-brainer. Plus, with the certificate from my vet, the waiting periods are waived, so that was great. Our new puppy from the pound is covered and it's nice to not have any stress because we're covered. And we know just how much paying out-of-pocket for everything costs because pet insurance was just not as common 10 years ago when our older dogs were little, this is worth it.
