Because of that I had high expectations for their customer service which Anica went over and beyond! Trupanion has been simple to process claims through and has always been very timely. I used to think pet insurance was a crazy thing to have, but I love my dogs immensely and when the unexpected things pop up (as they always will) it is comforting to know we are covered.

Trupanion was a very easy process at my vet. I didn’t have to do anything. By the time I went to pick up my dog after surgery, trupanion already covered their part of the bill and I was very satisfied only having to pay my deductible and %10 of the bill.

Disappointed that nothing is covered for wellness,dental or vaccine. Cost is expensive for older animals. Most people have younger pets that don’t require any health care so why would people want to pay insurance?

Life threatening emergency this saved us
In March 2018, my wife decided it would be the best to get Trupanion for any emergencies. She was right, a few months after getting Trupanion our dog was attacked and Trupanion covered costs for us. Last June a sudden serious emergency happened and we found out our dog (same that got attacked) has a genetic condition that is life threatening. If we didn’t have Trupanion from June 2020 to now March 2021 we would have paid nearly $14,000 because of the emergency x-rays, ultrasounds, labs, procedures and surgeries and his continued labs and medications, etc. Trupanion was the best decision ever made for us and our dogs!
