Easy to reach a real person. Claims are handled easily. While dog insurance is expensive, and I believe many can't afford it, if you do have insurance decision making when it comes to our fur babies, the financial aspect is not our main concern. Rather, the quality of life for our beloved animals.

A bit disappointed
I was disappointed to learn that none of my bill was covered because of a "pre existing condition".I chose Trupanion over other insurances because when my dog first herniated a disc in her back at the age of 3,I didn't know pet insurance existed.I paid for that surgery.No one would write the insurance after that. Trupanion was the only one that would take her on and I was so grateful. Well, I figured I'd have a higher deductible or pay a little more in monthly premiums but when she herniated a disc in her neck,10 years later, nothing was covered, not even a little something.Luckily I was able to afford the bill though I am still paying on it. It is hard to imagine folks that can't pay the bill to have their pet taken care of. What do they do?Put their pet down? I can't imagine. Trupanion was great when my dog had bladder problems so I would recommend them however, if you get a pet start the insurance day one because then there are "no pre existing conditions" Reminiscent of human health insurance.

Trupanion is a real life saver literally.
Trupanion is a real life saver, literally. Compared to how much an unexpected vet bill can set you back, as anyone with a pet will tell you, what I pay for Trupanion is basically pennies. And the peace of mind it gives me is priceless. When my dog was found to have a heart murmur, I was easily able to afford a cardiac workup to make sure it didn't need further treatment. It's such a relief to know that I can make decisions for my pets' health without worrying about expense. Their employees have been nothing but professional and helpful every time I've had to reach out to them. I recommend them to everyone who is considering getting a new animal friend. They are really the best out there, and since my vet has the Trupanion direct pay thing I don't even have to worry about getting reimbursed.

Trupanion is the best thing that has ever happened to me and my pet. I have nothing bad to say about them and I always recommend them to other pet owners. I hope that nothing happens to the company and they never change their policy or coverage.

Our relationship with Trupanion has been excellent.
Our relationship with Trupanion has been excellent. Belle has had urinary and bowel issues from the time she was three months of age. She is now a beautiful four and half years of age cavalier spaniel. Without your help, she would not have made it past her first birthday. You have helped keep her healthy and have never turned down a request no matter the cost. Without you, we may have lost her. The cost of the insurance is minimal and provides much. I have also appreciated the support when in actual communication with Trupanion representatives. I always get the feeling that there is a genuine desire to help and support for me and my situation. I have never heard "we can't do it."

Best decision I made was to sign up when We 1st brought GG home as a puppy.
Best decision I made was to sign up when We 1st brought GG home as a puppy. She later developed seizures. Having Trupanion insurance has allowed us to provide first class care for her allowing us to keep her happy and healthy for these last 10 years.
