Trupanion is incredible!
We got Trupanion when we rescued our boy Wilson in September 2021. We didnt really think we would need it but thought it better to be safe than sorry. That was the best decision we could have made. Trupanion has been incredible over the last 18 months - the peace of mind that they offer is worth every single penny and more!! Thank you for being so easy to work with. We'll never have another dog without Trupanion!

Claim response time
Response to Customer service inquiries is wonderful. My biggest complaint is how long it takes for a claim 40-52 days, then once the claim is decided it takes another 5-7 days to get paid. You are looking at 2 months before reimbursement. Not a deal breaker if your claim is a few hundred. My claim total for my dogs last illness was close to $10,000. I used a credit card, 60 days for reimbursement is going to cost me close to $500 in interest. Pets best advertises that most claims take 7 days…..not true

Ease of submitting claim with Lemonade
Before Chewy came out with a stripped-down version for accident insurance, my research was that Lemonade had the least monthly cost but I did pay for the whole year at once which gave me a discount and I had two cats so they gave me a 10% discount. I will say the submission process was pretty simple although I will say it was interesting that they wanted you to video your explanation of how your cat got into their predicament. Apparently they had facial data on whether you are lying or not. Go figure.

Excellent options
Furkin Pet insurance provides excellent options to cover your pets. The prices were as good as or better than any other insurance plans that we investigated (and we looked at quite a few). A pleasant surprise was that the prices after one year actually went down by a very small amount. We have insured two cats and one dog with Furkin and have had a few claims that were processed and paid as promised. There were some glitches in getting all the required information from the vets but it all worked out and the claims were settled within a reasonable timeframe.

Trupanion has been VERY GOOD to us. With all the expensive surgeries, ear infections, etc., we probably could not have kept our sweet Maggie with us. Trupanion paid LOT for all of Maggie's health issues. We are vert thankful our Vet gave us the first month free when Maggie was a puppy and we continued with it. THANK YOU, TRUPANION!!!!!
