It was a great experience.
It was a great experience. The emergency vet billed Trupanion directly and it took only minutes for them to know how much of the cost was our responsibility. The only disappointment we had was that the exam fees were not covered.

The customer service is great, but the insurance has yet to cover anything. I understand that it doesn't cover pre-existing conditions prior to purchasing the policy, but it really should cover a portion since we're paying for it every month.

Reduced coverage due to amount of claims in one year
I have had PetSecure for several years and we have 2 dogs. It was pretty good at reimbursing the 80% , just very slow to re-imburse and many times I had to have the vet submit the request several times because PetSecure kept saying they did not receive it. Now my chihuahua had to have double hip replacement this past year and PetSecure want to keep my monthly fee the same but drop the coverage to 60% even though our contract is for 80%. I find this very upsetting and will be looking for a different insurance company.

Couldn't Get any Easier!
I decided to invest in pet insurance when I was sitting in the waiting room of the emergency Vet. I looked through the leaflets they had on Pet Insurance companies and when I got home researched all of them on the internet. It took a long time but I finally decided Embrace was the best overall. Not only did I like the way they operate and their prices, they have a wonderful Wellness plan. My dog sees her Vet regularly and is up to date on her vaccinations and all Heartworm and flea prevention. That can be expensive and having a Wellness plan has helped me tremendously. Embrace is extremely quick to process a claim and send a check or explain why it might not be covered. Plus, now all claims can be submitted online so the whole process is very simple and quick. The people working at Embrace are very helpful and caring. I have been with them for six or seven years now and would never switch. Why? Because they are simply the best!
