Trupanion claims experts are awesome! The very fast turnaround in paying claims cannot improve..it's fast and effective. I rated an 8 instead of 10 because 1) the yearly increases to the pet's insurance seems to be Trupanion's way of taking advantage of the pet owner. They know we can't change insurance carriers due to exclusions other carriers would place on a new policy for an older pet, so we feel stuck with insurance rates that are more than I pay for my health insurance. 2. For the amount we pay for our pet's insurance Trupanion should offer some health maintenance coverage for the pet, eg, teeth cleaning annually or once every two years.

I am very happy with the quickness that claims are settled and with your friend customer service staff. I am disappointed though, that your coverage does not include exams as this is turning out to be a big part of the expense with my cat's current condition. Other than that, your services are great.

A Simple and Easy Setup!
I loved how easy it went and how easily it was to adjust my options and see how my monthly amount would change. I didn't have to go through a person and talk about all the different options, it was all there plain to read on the site. That's what I like!

While I haven't used the insurance I am very grateful to have it and know that I can provide my Squeaky with good medical attention if and when she needs it.

I totally believe in pet health insurance.
I totally believe in pet health insurance. They are family and I don’t want to question whether to do something because of cost. We insure our homes (might burn down?) cars (crash?) our own health (?) why wouldn’t you insure your beloved pets? The first years you don’t expect anything major and so you pay lower fees. Our beloved Sammi (Samantha) has lived twelve years without any major illness. Now she has cancer. We have taken her to specialists and tests to decide on best course. Sadly we know we have to see her out comfortably. Luckily we weren’t having to crunch numbers or worry about that beforehand because Trupanion gives pre-approval for treatment plans. Yes we paid for some consultation. Would maybe like some kind of adjustment when dealing with ongoing chronic or terminal illness. But overall I am and will continue to have Trupanion for my Pets health coverage.??????

In the interest of full disclosure, I work at Trupanion. BUT, even if I didn't, I'd still recommend it because this coverage has saved my kitty's life. I love that our clinic can take direct payment, they're always happy to use it because they know Tru is going to pay them. I just pay the difference to them. I always appreciate our claims team handling things quickly, even on the rare occasion I have to send in a claim on my own. :)
