Fair but unhappy
Trupanion has a convenient process for claim filing and you are reimbursed fairly quickly. My premiums have consistently gone up every year and I am not happy about this. Your reasons are just poor excuses.

Rates keep raising
My Newfoundland will be 6 this week. As a puppy he had a eye defect and needed surgery. I had $700 deductable. They would not cover his bills even after I had paid the deductable. Haven't collected a cent from them yet my premiums keep going up. I regret buying pet insurance from them!

Rates have doubled
This was a bait and switch. At sign up in 2022 I was quoted $86 for two dogs. At my first renewal in 2023 that was raised to $136. Renewing again in 2024 and it is $185. Our premium more than doubled in 24 months. I can’t switch because of the dogs now has a pre existing condition, so I’m stuck with these high prices that are way above market. Do not buy Embrace.

Never approve claims
Granted I have not had many claims but, the ones I have done, have not been approved. There's always an excuse as to why they won't approve the claims. I pay $400 a month for this insurance that doesn't cover anything. I keep it in hopes that one day if really needed my fur babies will be covered. I highly doubt it though.

Pet insurance declined due to Diarrhea
We have 3 dogs which one of our new dogs was with another insurance provider… we put them all under 1 peppermint insurance… our new puppy had diarrhea under trupanian and when we switched to peppermint they said Diarrhea is a preexisting condition even though no veterinarian has given a diagnosis… the last vet visit was over 1000 dollars and they declined it based on pre existing condition of diarrhea again with no diagnosis… they did blood work and tested for Addison and fecal culture … no diagnosis… so how can peppermint say diarrhea would ever be a preexisting condition without any diagnosis… so disappointed with peppermint… if my / other dogs were not senior dogs we would leave for sure … now it would be 2 hard … I would like to know what people think that diarrhea with the many causes with no diagnosis can be a pre existing condition… or is this just a money grab

Great Company
Healthy Paws is a great company that cares for our pets. I have been with HP for 6 years for my 2 dogs.. They have helped me several times over the years. Filing a claim is easy. I download the vet's invoice along with the reports. They e-mail to let me know they are processing my claim. In a day or two, they e-mailed me it was completed and notified the reimbursement deposit into my account right away. I suggested direct deposit is best because my check was lost in the mail. HP send a replacement a week after I file the report. Healthy Paws is affordable. It's worth it to have a great company that gives great service and cares about your pet. I also suggested that read and following the policy guideline careful. Keep tract of your babies health report to submit to HP. In that way helps HP to processing your claim faster. All best to the Pet Parent 🐶❤️

Quick service
I submitted my claim on 9/4/24 which was very easy to submit. My money was deposited into my checking account on 9/18/24. I also received emails when my claim was submitted and when it was processed. How was that for quick service!! I have 3 rescued Pit Bull's, and they are all insured at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Pets Best Insurance.

Keep Looking "Pets Best" is not the Best
I have had the same insurance for my wonderful dog for his whole life. "Pets Best" insurance leaves a lot to be desired, the application does not work at it should and you will need to use the website for any clams. The option to contact the company by phone means waiting for hours with no response. I have a healthy dog but even the yearly appointments are not fully covered. Keep looking you can find better the "Pets Best."

Why are they raising rates 50%?
Looking for another provider which isn't price gouging.

Excellent service but…
I had Trupanion insure my dog for 14 years. I recently had to make a move from Saskatchewan to Alberta. I used the self service to change my address and the app told me my premiums would increase 10 fold. I phoned customer service thinking this was obviously a mistake but I was told that whatever the app told me was correct. I was flabbergasted.
