Nationwide is a life saver!!
I belong to a couple of BMD groups and always share how great our experience has been with Nationwide! I was referred by a friend and got it for both my boys as puppies. Little did I know one would develop allergies and the other hip displasia! Everything has been covered 90%! I wish my health coverage was as good! The peace of mind knowing I can provide the very best care for my furbabies - that s Nationwide! We highly recommend it to all our friends.

Nationwide covers almost everything & they care about my dog
I purchased major med & wellness coverage for my GSD puppy within a few months of bringing him home. After paying the deductible, the coverage has been excellent for his routine visits, meds, and a few minor injuries & illnesses. Claims are paid quickly and I love the electronic filing & payment options. We had one issue with a denial, but after I requested a review, the denial was reversed and the claim was paid. I haven’t used the online vet help service, but it’s mice to know it is available. I appreciate the emails providing me claims status info and periodically checking in on my dog. Following the great experience with my puppy, I decided to enroll my other two dogs who are “seniors” (10 years old). Because of their age, there were some additional coverage limits due to pre-existing conditions. I’m not sure I’ll see the same value of the insurance for them so it remains to be seen if I’ll continue their policies. Overall, my experience with Nationwide has been very positive.

Does not get any better!
All our claims have been paid in a very rapidly. After the 10% copay, all the claims were paid in full, including wellness exams and blood work ups, except for minor items that were listed in the policy as exclusions. Two years ago, I did extensive weresearch prior to taking out this policy and by far it seemed to bwell esse the best value and the most comprehensive.

Lots of claims and always have been fair with all of them.
We have been with VPI/Nationwide for four years. It turned out to be a wise choice because our dog has been visiting the vet our the last four years many times. With that, he also has to take some pricey drugs which Nationwide reimburses us as well. The reimbursement rate for his veterinary care is something that we are very pleased with. Anyone interested in obtaining veterinary insurance, go with Nationwide.

Run the other way!!!!
I wanted so badly to like Figo, but just about everything about them has been pretty awful. First, the claim response time was ridiculous, taking over over 7 weeks to process a simple claim. I considered leaving at this point, but called in and was reassured they were making some necessary changes and the claims would be processed much quicker in the future. So I stuck around. But then only a couple weeks later I was notified my premium was due for renewal and that there would be an 130% increase in my premium!! I thought it had to be a mistake. When I called in about it they weren’t exactly the friendliest and basically told me to go elsewhere if I thought it was too much. And, I should probably mention that my dog is a healthy one year old with absolutely no health issues. So to go from $30/month to over $70/month made absolutely no sense. I’d say beware. It seems to me they have the bait and switch tactic down. They lure you in with great rates and then slam you a year or two into your policy. And last thing, I did leave and am very happy with a different company who is offering the exact same coverage (90% reimbursement, $250 deductible, unlimited lifetime benefits) for HALF the cost. So when they tell you they’re competitively priced, don’t believe them.

Best Pet Insurance ever!
This was the best decision I’ve ever made. The monthly fee is reasonable and I have save thousands of dollars over the years. It’s so easy to submit a claim and it just got easier with VitusVet. All you have to do is take a picture of the recipe and hit submit claim. I love that they also offer direct deposit and it doesn’t take that long for them to review a claim. I would buy this insurance for every dog I own.

I'm a True believer in Trupanion pet insurance.
I'm a True believer in Trupanion pet insurance. This company has provided significant financial support for my old yellow Labrador with Cushings Disease and most recently, end of life treatment/support for a very aggressive form of cancer. My dog's oncologist also told me it was the best pet insurance on the market today. Even though we know our sweet Bosco's life is coming to an end, Trupanion is paying 90% of his chemo, blood tests and other medications. Many kudos to Trupanion staff as well, who have been extremely caring and helpful each time I called with any questions about coverage. I also received a beautiful card, personally signed by staff, upon learning of Bosco's cancer diagnosis. I appreciate that claims are also extremely easy to submit....just take a picture of the invoice, answer a couple of questions and submit. I get reimbursed in a few days, which really helps when the credit card bill comes in! In conclusion, Trupanion has far exceeded my expectations and has allowed us to provide our dog with specialized veterinary care that otherwise we would not be able to afford. Thank you, Trupanion, from the bottom of our hearts, for allowing us to love on our old yellow dog for a little while longer......
