We really made the right decision in…

We really made the right decision in purchasing Spot pet insurance. This coming January Sadie will be 2 years old. We have had Spot insurance since May of 2024 paying $48 a month. 17 months at $48 paid $816 during this time Sadie had racked up $1,000’s in wellness and medical costs. Spot covered and reimbursed us 80% after a small yearly deductible. The very best decision we ever made purchasing Spot pet insurance. I was concerned when Sadie’s policy was renewed she would either be refused continuance of insurance or it would increase dramatically due to the claims we had especially the first year. Much to our surprise insurance continued and at the same premium! Spot insurance makes it very easy to submit a claim and the reimbursement in our opinion is reasonably quick with direct deposit. Spot insurance couldn’t make it any easier. I would highly recommend Spot insurance. Representatives are helpful and easy to work with.

Customer service is great! Insurance plan can be tailored for the needs of your pets. I especially like the wellness plan that covers so many things.

Used to be Great....

....but not so much anymore. I've had Pet's Best exclusively for my Keeshond since he was a puppy (10 yrs.). The service prior to Covid was stellar. After Covid it's gone down hill. Model changes, price changes, slow claims processes and generally it seems like another company totally. I have even sent referrals to them prior to Covid, but I won't anymore. If my pup wasn't 10, I'd find another provider, but I can say, I will not be utilizing Pet's Best in the future with any future pets. I'm so disappointed.

Bad business

I would not recommend trusting this company with your pets. I have successfully filed claims with this company, although they rarely reimbursed the rate that I was charged. This year my premium more than tripled to $255 a month after being a customer for nine years. I received an email that my rate may be increasing, but I had to dig into the website to find any dollar amount by that point it was too late. Again, I would not recommend trusting this company with your pets.

I totally agree with you. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. They do NOT disclose important information in their policy documents. I will be posting a detailed review on my experience shortly. I’m still gathering necessary information.

Not worth paying for

Not worth paying so much for when you don’t fully reimburse for the standard issues that happen multiple times a year or when we provide medical notes that say why our pet needs medication or procedures. Ie getting fecal test when our pet had diarrhea for a week wasn’t covered because they already had a fecal test this year.

I love MetLife pet insurance!

I love MetLife pet insurance! Their customer support when choosing a plan for both my cat and dog was unmatched. They really helped select the perfect plan for us. Reimbursement is so easy through the app! I’ve never had a problem being reimbursed in a timely manner. Absolutely worth the money!

Although I wish spot insurance worked…

Although I wish spot insurance worked directly to pay the vet/emergency vet, their process is really quick and simple to file a claim. Their reimbursement is also very quick. I have had to use the plan multiple times over the last few years for emergency vet services and I have never had an issue. I did some comparative shopping as my plan was up for renewal, and by far SPOT has the best rates and coverage!
