Rates increase significantly each year
This insurance was a good value when my dog was a puppy. I could relax and know that whatever came up I could handle it financially and not have to worry about the cost vs her health. My dog is 4 years old and each year the rates have gone up...this year they went up 18%! I now am questioning whether I can afford it for much longer. Very disappointed.

Good coverage, quick and easy submission process
Max is very food driven and has eaten a things that required visits to urgent care and required x-rays and blood tests. I am extremely grateful that we have Healthy Paws. A lot of things are standard like the one month probation period and coverage, but I love their app and how easy it is to file a claim. Claims are reviewed quickly and you get your reimbursement directly deposited to your bank account. $100/yr. deductible is very reasonable because they cover 90% of the rest. Healthy Paws have saved us a considerable amount of money in vet bills for the past 4 years and I am grateful to know I never have to choose between finances or the unthinkable when it comes to my Max. What is not covered: Exam fees and preventative care such as flea medication and dental cleaning. This is why I didn't give a 10 paw rating. We give Max something that prevents fleas and heart worms and feel that it would be to everyone's benefit to have this at least partially covered. Same goes with dental. An important note is annual deductible is based off of the start date of coverage and not calendar year. This could mean depending on the date you need to file a claim, you could pay more than $100 in a calendar year, it just depends. Overall, I would recommend pet insurance for any pet owner and have had a good experience with Healthy Paws. I have recommended to my friends and co-workers.

Nationwide pet insurance rocks!
My little dog is very healthy. But whenever she is under the weather or if is is time for shots and a physical I rely on Nationwide Per insurance. Major medical for Biddy sure helps out. It is the beat investment ever if you have a pet that you love

I used your insurance with my cat Sparkle in her senior years. The premium was reasonable and payment was prompt. When I got Daisy age 8 now I couldn't say a better review than they always paid more than I thought and are always concerned with the well being of my cat

Easy to work with
I began my Nationwide Pet insurance program when I rescued my pug, Roxy, when she was 7 years old, 3 years ago. She is very healthy for her age, but had some problems with her teeth, probably from their neglect by her original owners. I've had to have several teeth pulled and she also developed a small cyst -- all were treated and she is now fine. Nationwide claims were easy to file and response was timely and good. Very good customer service. It is worth every penny I pay each month to know Nationwide is behind me in caring for Roxy.
