I love my PJ with all my heart and I want to be able to provide him with the best care possible. My pet insurance enables me to do this by easing the stress of high vet bills. I put in my claims and got an automatic email that Trupanion received my claims. It took about a week for Trupanion to accept the claims and again I got an email stating that the money will be reimbursed in 5-7 days. It took less than 3 weeks for Trupanion to review my claims and reimburse the 90% back into my checking account. The total amount I spent on my dog for surgery including deductible was less than $2500, which is better than $8,000 +. I am so happy with their customer service. Putting in this claim was a breeze because the representative on the phone answered all of my questions. thank you Trupanion!

good insurance very satisfied.
I am very happy with the insurance I have 3 dogs insured with you. my only problem is exclusions on Conan policy , a pre existing condition dating 4 years ago. small growth was remove from his neck, benign, 4 years later he had a small growth on his leg and they denied the claim. but we are working on fixing the issue.

Very helpful in covering unexpected surgery costs
My 4 year old Cavalier, Birdie, had a growth on her scalp that at first seemed like nothing, but eventually grew large enough to be a concern. It was recommended that we have it surgically removed and biopsied, so we did so. Luckily, it was benign and Birdie has healed quickly. We were able to get reimbursed for 90% after our deductible, which made it affordable. She also required a dental cleaning, which isn't covered, but that part was only a minimal cost when compared to all the fees (anesthesia, medications, extractions, etc) and I am SO glad we didn't wait any longer or she would have had further decay and pain. I know other people have chosen other pet insurance providers because they cover dental cleanings, but in reality, the actual cleaning portion is not what costs the most - it is if your dog requires extractions or medications that end up adding to the final cost.

Would totally recommend this company to others. They are so nice, and I was notified the same day of one of our wellness claims that it was received and accepted. It’s really nice to know that this company cares about our dog. I did a lot of research before settling, and they seem to cover more with very competitive rates

Best Decision for our Pets
I had VPI insurance for years, and was satisfied with them. Since Nationwide has taken over, things have gotten even better! The customer service, ease of use of the website and claims process, the transparency in coverage, and the follow up is absolutely incredible. We just had an expensive surgery for our dog, and knowing we had coverage was such a blessing. We know friends who have had to make difficult financial decisions when these things come up about their pets, and we never even had to worry about that. It allowed us to just focus on doing the best thing for our pet, and taking care of him. My vet told us we were lucky to have Nationwide, and that it’s the best insurance he’s seen for pets. I posted on FB about the wonderful experience we had, and since then a friend reached out to ask some questions and ultimately sign her puppy up with Nationwide! Thank you!
