It is always something....

Your customer service reps are great when you call and I have had to call a few times. You have declined claims as repeats when it was not, you are too expensive, many things seem not to be covered once an expense is incurred...

300% RATE INCREASE

FIGO has great coverage and customer service and quick claim reimbursement. I love being able to submit claims on line ! HOWEVER, I got coverage for my then 6-year-old German Shepherd last year (2018). At my recent first renewal, my monthly payment went from $63.21/mo to an ASTOUNDING INCREASE TO $175.86/mo for the same coverage. FIGO has only been in business since April 2015 and evidently did not know how to set rates for it's excellent coverage. I suspect the underwriters woke up and realized they were not making enough money, so made a whopping increase in rates. Thankfully, my dog is healthy and did not develop any new health conditions, so I am able to look for new insurance with another company without having to worry about pre-existing conditions. But if my dog had developed new health issues in the last 12 months, it would be VERY difficult for me to get decent coverage. JUST BE CAREFUL ABOUT RATE INCREASES ! ! !

Needs better co Eagle for less cost

My sr. Dog who has been relatively healthy deserves better coverage on whole pet plan for less price. The whole pt wellness cost more than my insurance per month.

Nationwide is good but getting very expensive.

I like Nationwide for the fact they are efficient, helpful but are getting very expensive. My premium went up from around 300.00 dollars in one year?? My dog is only 3 years old and her insurance is almost as much as I pay??

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. I got the insurance for my puppy with the essentials coverage to cover the cost of shots or accidents. So far I have spent $58 bucks a month for nothing. They literally only covered the first couple shots and that was it. Looking back I should have signed up for Banfield. My friend got for her puppy and they covered ALL of her dog’s shots. Petsbest is a money hungry insurance company. Did not save me any money just took it.

Overly satisfied

I took my dog to vet for annual check up and maintenance. I'm overly satisfied with my insurance and their customer service. I entered 1 negative review and that is because I hit the wrong thing by accident. There is no back button to change it. I'm saddened to leave anything negative on my survey because I feel this company is EXCELLENT!

Trupanion allowed to not think twice about the cost of procedures or testing and focus on my dogs wellbeing.

My precious Sparky got diagnosed with insulinoma about 6 months ago now. At first he was very sick and having constant seizures. He was also quite lathargic, which is very unusual for a Jack Russell. I immediately brought sparky to the vet where they were also very relieved we had Trupanion as the testing ahead to figure out what was wrong we’re going to be costly. The vet suggested an oncologist about 2 hours from us. Sparky spent over 12 hours there while we waited in the waiting room. Without trupanion I would have wondered how on earth I would be able to pay for all the tests and meds they gave him that day. Instead, i was able to say “yes” without hesitation to all the tests and meds that were needed in order to get the answers we needed to properly diagnose his illness and care for him. Sparky is still with us today and no longer having seizures. He was given 6 months to a year to live and I think he’ll make it to at least the 1 year mark. His meds have kept him happy and stable and able to go on running and sniffing around his big backyard. Not every day is perfect. In fact, we had another $500 bill last week. It seems trupanion will really go the extra mile to try their best to cover what they can. I was going to cancel this policy about a month before sparky got sick and for some reason I never got around to it. I am so happy that I didn’t. I don’t think I will ever have a dog without insurance again for life’s unexpected moments. The money paid out far outweighs the monthly costs of the insurance. Not to mention the customer service reps are always very helpful and compassionate individuals!! Thank you Trupanion for helping out with my Sparky and so many other pets out there.
