Great Customer Service and Care from ASPCA pet insurance

I have had ASPCA pet health insurance since my dog, Buddy, was a puppy. He is now 13 years old and I have been extremely satisfied with the service and care provided. The claim submission process is fast and easy and claims are settled and paid immediately. If this were not enough, an ASPCA customer service officer calls after completion of my claims to see how Buddy is doing. This is always reassuring to me that I've chosen the right company. As insurance premiums have increased with Buddy's age, I have done some price comparisons for pet insurance but I've found the costs of other insurance companies to be comparable or higher for the same services. I plan to stay with ASPCA.

Don't get locked into this insurance company! Whole Pet + Wellness Review

I signed my Bernese Mountain Dog up for this insurance as a 3 month old puppy. I bought Whole Pet + Wellness plan that includes almost everything you can think of with a $250 deductible and covers 90% of everything else. My first year the premium was $714 which was very reasonable. Then the second year the premium increased to over $930 and now this year the premium has doubled since I started and is now over $1430 per year. My dog has been healthy and we have not submitted many claims. I am just worried about the future if Nationwide feels they can continue to increase the plan premium. over 100% increase in 2 years is ridiculous. I called about possibly adding a second pet (my new puppy) and the woman on the phone said I had a two dog discount but because the puppy would be needing to see the vet more the first year of coverage would cost over $1900 just for my puppy! Not to mention Eiger. I will NOT be using Nationwide in the future. The only reason I'm keeping my 3 year old on it is because the benefits are great. The payouts are slow to receive! I will be going with Trupanion, Embrace or Figo for my next dog.

Life Saver!

Without Nationwide Insurance my dog would be dead. He got sick earlier this year from the dog food he was on and he still hasn't recovered. My vet bills since May have now been over $5,000. I'm still praying we can help my baby so in the mean time Nationwide has taken a HUGE burden from my shoulders so I can focus on helping him recover.

Nationwide is the best worldwide!

I tell all my friends and family about Nationwide, even strangers that I meet in stores. I have even had discussions with my vet about the great service and coverage that Nationwide provides. I know that he is passing that along to his clients as he now has brochures about the benefits of having pet insurance in his welcoming packages to his new clients. Although the premiums are a little pricey, I am thankful that I am able to afford it and I am thoroughly satisfied with the coverage and the timely reimbursements.

It takes the worry out of taking Archie to the vet

Having pet insurance for Archie has allowed me to take the most care of him as I'm not worried about the cost of taking him to the vet as he's still growing up. I will definitely continue to use the service as he gets older!

Unbelievably easy!

I cannot say enough about how easy and convenient and helpful trupanion (Graham talked me down from panic on the phone, bless his heart! ) was in dealing with my German shepherds torn acl and the surgery needed to correct it! I didn’t have to do anything! Thank goodness because I was a worried mess! They worked with my vet and the specialty center and never had any bad news! Not having to pay the vet bill and then get reimbursed was HUGE to me, as I didn’t have the $4,000 to pay upfront for the surgery! I will recommend Trupanion to anybody who will listen! And I work in German shepherd rescue, so I know lots of people who would be foolish not to insure their pets! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Trupanion, and thank you again, Graham for being so great, friendly, knowledgeable and understanding! You guys are the best!

Great company

After 10 years with another pet insurance company I decided to change because the premiums had ballooned to over $100 a month. The company was great but I felt that the premiums were just to high. After a little research I decided to go with Healthy Paws because of the reviews. Shortly after switching my dog became extremely sick and required 2 back to back surgeries and endless trips to the vet. I was regretting switching insurance because I was afraid that some of the claims (5 total) would be denied. Well I was extremely happy at the service and amount I received back. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for pet insurance.

Excellent Coverage and Wonderful Customer Service

I started using ASPCA insurance for my Great Dane (Medusa) through my previous employer two years ago. Even after I left that company, I decided to continue using this insurance because of how wonderful they were. I have submitted claims for everything you can imagine: wellness visits, emergency visits, surgery, prescriptions, etc. I have always received quick reimbursement and great customer service. Almost two months ago, Medusa was diagnosed with lymphoma (a terminal diagnosis for dogs). This insurance is the only reason my dog is still around. Without having this coverage, I would have never been able to afford the chemotherapy that will extend her life and keep her as happy and healthy as possible until the end. Two or three weeks into Medusa's treatment I received a voicemail from the ASPCA asking about her. I was hesitant to call back, wondering if this was going to be a call where they tell me they can no longer provide the support we needed to continue treatment. I was absolutely amazed when I called back to find out that they really just wanted to check on her health and give me their sympathy. It was by far one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I have recommended this insurance to so many of my friends, and I encourage others to look into it as well. They have a variety of plans that are affordable and the coverage really is worth it.

This is the only pet insurance you will ever want and need!

This company is far above and beyond anything you could expect from and insurance company. They actually CARE about your pet. Their benefits are wonderful and filing claims is a breeze. Processing is fast. The staff is compassionate, thoughtful, and competent. Their rates are competetive. I recommend them to everyone I know who has a furry family member.
