Outrageous rates when you need them most
I was a true believer in healthy paws ins in the beginning, Now they continue to hike the monthly rates to un affordable sky high amounts ,When my dogs were pups it was affordable but since then I have retired and am on a fixed income and low and behold they have raised my monthly premiums to 6 times what it was .making it impossible to continue the coverage at a time when we need it the most, We have come to the conclusion we can no longer afford to be responsible pet owners

We are a huge advocate of pet insurance and even wrote a blog post about purchasing health insurance as one of your first purchases after adopting a pet. In the past, we have recommended Trupanion as the best option, but after many exclusions, alternative medicine options as being an add on that was never discussed even being a member for over 10 years and now our dog's newly developed hip problems due to age are considered a preexisting condition, and a premium that has increased almost 40% in a year, we can no longer recommend Trupanion and we would advise to look at other options such as Healthy Paws.

The BEST thing we EVER did for our Pets was get insurance with Healthy Paws!
We have had numerous rescue animals and after the repeat expenses from numerous vet visits, we decided to take the plunge and get pet insurance. Honestly, it is so easy and so worth the monthly spend. The return is huge and really helps to save on those very unexpected vet bills and animal ailments. The app on the phone makes it so easy to submit a claim and the response time for claim review and return of funds is so fast. We HIGHLY recommend this to anyone shopping for pet insurance.

Can't say enough about Healthy Paws!
We are very happy with the service that Healthy Paws provides. I signed up for insurance shortly after rescuing our 5 months old pup and it was the best decision we could have made. It's affordable and the service is stellar. When our pup became lame at just a year and a half, she had to have surgery to stablize her knee cap and repair a partially torn ligament. Healthy Paws paid 80% of the cost and quickly. A few weeks after her surgery, they reached out just to ask how she was doing. You don't often get that kind of personal touch from insurance companies!
