SHOCK on top of depression - not good!

I was stunned that Trupanion had changed it's billing practices and that I was expected to pay the total surgical bill due when I picked up my sweet Charlie after a difficult and long EMERGENCY surgery!

Don't waste your money.. they won't help you with theirs.

I signed up for Pets Best because of the reviews on this site. After two months with a puppy I realized those reviews are fake. You don't have to prove you're a customer to leave them. Bottom line... Pets Best has managed to back out of paying for damn near everything I signed up for. I even upgraded for extra coverage... which basically amounts to over $60/month. They've dodged everything but a couple immunizations and a very cheap eye ointment (I think, but its hard to tell.) Sure its real easy to submit the claim, but its real hard to get paid. If you wait in a chat room to talk to someone, expect about a half hour wait. If you call, you'll get someone who sounds really caring that has zero power to help you. I'm embarrased to say that I now feel like Pets Best treats me like an opposing attorney and quite frankly, that's not what I pay for.

Well. That was quick and easy.

Being able to fill out paperwork, attach a scan of the medical records, and send it all online only took a couple of minutes. And my reimbursement check came the next week. All insurance should be this easy! (Spoiler: I've had other pet insurance. It was not this easy.)

Peace of mind

We love the peace of mind our Nationwide Pet policy brings. When Remi wasn't feeling well, it was such a relief to know that finances weren't really a concern when it came to multiple appointments, diagnosis and treatment. Submitting claims via the app on our phone is so convenient and we appreciate the quick turnaround time! We recommend Nationwide Pet insurance to all of our friends with fur babies :)
