Claim service was efficient, friendly and easy to use.

We winter in FL and live in PA. While we were away Marley had several trips to the vet in FL and I submitted all the claims when I got home. We had payments for all submissions within 10 days.

Supportive, reassuring, quick response and caring!

I have 2 mix breed dogs that we rescued as puppies and insured them through Healthy Paws early on. I chose Healthy Paws because the reviews were great and their rates and coverage was affordable and it fit our needs. Our oldest dog, Tanner, has had 2 emergencies, prior to our recent one, and processing claims through the Healthy Paws App were a breeze and the claims and reimbursement were processed quickly. Our most recent emergency occurred at the beginning of this March. Tanner began to cry out of what appeared to be pain and to drag his front left leg. In a span of 7 days, we visited his vet twice where x-rays were taken (no fractures) and pain medication and steroid prescribed. By the 7th day, his whole left side began to drag and he was crying non stop. I was advised to rush him for emergency neurological assessment. On my way to the neurologist, I called Healthy Paws and I was assured that Tanner’s medical needs would be covered and was asked to focus on Tanner and not to worry! Well Tanner had a ruptured disk on his neck that required emergency surgery. Tanner underwent an MRI, surgery, 10 days in the hospital because he needed 24/7 care, numerous medication and physical therapy. I cannot say enough about the importance of purchasing pet insurance! We could not have given Tanner the proper medical care that he needed if it wasn’t for Healthy Paws! The hospital needed payment upfront and Healthy Paws made arrangements to pay the hospital directly. Our out-of-pocket cost was $1,900. A fraction of what the hospital charged! We are going on 4 weeks since Tanner had his surgery and he is beginning to walk on his own again. It will be a long recovery but I am glad to know Healthy Paws is here for us! They even contacted me to know how Tanner was coming along! My advise, chose the maximum plan. We purchased the plan with a $100 deductible and a 90% reimbursement! Well worth the monthly premium!

I love Nationwide and the App

I have used this pet insurance for years! Never have I had a single problem. As a matter of fact once Nationwide bought the company, it just got better and easier. The App means payment arrives in 2-3 days with no hassles.

Easy and reliable

I had to take my dog to the vet for a lump and we didn't know what was wrong with her. The vet had to take trays and keep her for the day to evacuate her leg. It was a costly day but we were able to file an claim very easily and we were refunded much of the cost within 3-4 days. It was quick and easy to file the claim and receive our reimbursement.

This is such a benefit for mh dog and I.

This insurance is so helpful. I don't feel overwhelmed because I know Nationwide will be there for me. By paying the monthly payment I am able to spread out the cost of veterinary bills throughout the year. Nationwide is so easy to work with, I just submit the claim online and get reimbursed in a timely manner. Thank you Nationwide, it is one thing I don't have to worry about.
