Because I'm frustrated with the cost of insurance, that was promised to me, would never go up in price. Otherwise, the one or two claims I've had over the years have gone smoothly. I dont think I'll ever insure another pet though.

Worth it for the ones we love
Trupanion has been a huge benefit. In this crazy year of 2020, finances are a huge issue and unexpected expenses can be a greater stress than before. I wasn't sure how beneficial Trupanion would be after first signing up, and even questioned its value while budgeting my COVID (lack of) salary, but I am certainly glad I stayed with them. When my puppy had some unexpected medical issues, Trupanion was quick to cover most of the expenses. My regular vet put our first claims in and saved us a bunch of upfront costs. After that visit, we were referred to an emergency hospital, and though the individual that usually runs the claims wasn't there, I submitted my receipt online and Trupanion reimbursed me for most of the expenses through direct deposit in less than a week. I will not only stay with Trupanion, I will highly recommend them to anyone who questions the value of pet insurance and the services that Trupanion has to offer.

Exceptional claims service
First puppy ever. Decided to get pet insurance a few years ago. Did not get insurance before as I was always concerned about the potential difficulty in making an insurance claim and getting payment if my puppy got sick. Well, our puppy got sick recently and we took her to the vet. The vet hospital did a lot of CT scans etc. and determined that our puppy had an enlarged liver. Total cost was around $ 4,000. The hospital sent the invoice directly to Trupanion. Within about a week I got an e-mail from Trupanion that the claim had been processed and paid as per the policy. I am extremely impressed and will recommend Trupanion to all others whenever possible. Thank you Trupanion for coming through as promised and the wonderful support.
