Pet insurance made easy, affordable and excellent customer service
It was simple and easy to continue my coverage (I had a month free from my breeder), and after I signed up for continued coverage, I used the online chat (with Arturo) to ask a couple of questions for clarification and he (or they I don’t know their preferred pronouns) was amazing. Answered the questions, and was “real” when (they) finished by saying “Give Bronson a belly rub from all of us and have a great day!” Customer service is second to none!

Trupanion to the rescue
With COVID the ability to see a vet on a timely basis is non-existent currently in Ottawa. Minimum 4-8 weeks for a regular appointment otherwise it's the local ER clinic as the only option. I found clinics serving the public much faster but they were in Toronto. I took the appointment. My dog was seen, assessed and treated in 3 days. I paid for the hotels no issue. And Trupanion came through in a huge way. They covered everything that was in the agreement contract I had with them. I was fully willing to pay the bill because it was out of my region but it was such a seamless process and speedy as well. I paid everything was reimbursed within 3 days of submitting the claim. Thank you to everyone at Trupanion.

Because it is taking a long time to be paid on claims.
Because it is taking a long time to be paid on claims. More so than in the past. And I currently have 4 outstanding claims dating back to 4/30. In the past these were paid back to me very quickly.
