Great Experience with Claim
My cat was throwing up and hadn't eaten nor drank anything for 2 days. He was just laying down or sleeping all day and night. I was afraid that he might have eaten one of his toys. I called my vet and they were able to see him the same day I called. My vet recommended that he have an ultrasound and several other treatments. I had no idea that Trupanion would cover some of the costs. I had just planned on using my credit card. When I went back to pick up Cashew they informed me that since I have Trupanion they had submitted the claim for me. By the time I made it back home, Trupanion had already paid the claim and the difference (my potion) was billed via a text. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and efficient the whole process was. I had expected that I was going to pay the whole bill but Trupanion came to the rescue.

Claims process was easy and fast!
My dog had to be admitted for a foreign body ingestion. The pre-approval for the claim was approved within a few hours and the final claim was approved within 3 days and the money was in my bank account the next day. Very happy to be able to pay that balance off my credit card right away and not have to worry about carrying that debt with me for months.

When my puppy was very young, she had to undergo a very expensive surgery. This event made me realize the importance of having health insurance for my pet. Trupanion insurance was recommended to me from a Vet. Unfortunately, my Vet does not participate directly with Trupanion, but the process of submitting a claim to Trupanion is made relatively easy. In addition, when ever I have any questions, the phone representatives have always been very helpful. Once my claim is approved, reembursment has always been made quickly. The cost of the policy is similar to that of other insurance plans. Having Trupanion reduces my financial concerns should my puppy become sick or have an accident.

MetLife Came Through for Us When We Needed Them
I wanted to take some time to share my recent experience with MetLife Pet Insurance. Over the years, we've had many pets, but never signed-up for insurance. That recently changed when my employer offered it through MetLife with a discount as a benefit. I decided to sign up but was always skeptical how difficult it would be to submit a claim and get it approved if I ever needed to. Unfortunately, just a few months after I signed up for the policy, our now 16-month-old Labrador tore the cruciate ligament in her left leg when she slipped on the floor. We had TPLO surgery done, which cost $4,200, and I immediately filed a claim with MetLife after I had collected all the paperwork. The online claim submission process was very easy, intuitive, and did not require anything extraordinary or unreasonable. After a few days of waiting, I was notified that the claim was approved! To be honest, I thought it was going to be a battle to get it approved, but there were no follow-up questions or requests for any other records beyond what I had already submitted. Within a day of the claim being approved, I received an email with instructions for payment options. I selected a direct deposit into our checking account, and the money was deposited in less than 24 hours! Wow! It's hard enough to have to go through all of this drama with our pup, but having MetLife pay our claim with no questions asked has definitely provided us with some much-needed good news and relief. Thank you, MetLife! It's great to know there are still companies out there who provide great service and do what they say! I hope to never have to file another claim again in the future, but it's comforting to know that MetLife has my back if I do.
