Fantastic customer service!

Nationwide is quick to pay on claims and has an excellent automated system. Best thing I did was get this pet insurance for my dog!

Excellent service & pays claims right away!

Some of my friends have recently signed-up their pets to have ASPCA Pet Insurance. They did so because of the amazing service that I've been receiving for several of my pets' recent insurance claims. I cannot impress (enough!) just how awesome ASPCA Insurance has been for them. Filing a claim literally takes only 1 minute online. Then, they typically PAY the claim within just a couple of days. KEY: Make sure your Vet ALWAYS gives you their "Vet Notes". Then, upload those notes WITH your itemized paid invoice(s), online. NOTE: Sometimes, Vets don't QUICKLY provide their file Notes right away. And THAT has been the ONLY reason I've ever experienced any kind of slight delay in payment from my pets' ASPCA Insurance. They usually pay claims within just a couple of days from submission & even do Direct Deposit into one's bank account. I couldn't be more pleased with their amazing service!

Since I bought my puppy without any papers I had to get all of his shots. With the wellness plan I was able to be reimbursed for everything. Very fast process and they responded so quickly.

Easy to make claim and receive payment promptly

Uploading online from the vet app is awesome. It makes sure I never forget, so I can leave the vet, pull up the app and enter all information and picture immediately and I’m done just sit back and wait for approval.

Pre-existing conditions limit this pet insurance

I've used ASPCA pet insurance for several years now and have been fairly pleased with the service and benefits. My dog is now 15 years old so as he has gotten older then new ailments have come up. With this insurance, a illness that comes up this year is a pre-existing condition for next year and forward so nothing is covered for that illness after the current year. My dog can no longer be covered for his back or his liver which flare up usually once a year. I shopped around a couple of years ago and this was the only insurance that we take my dog due to his history so I am appreciative that we can still use this policy. Overall though, I think they have one of the best customer service departments of any industry I am a consumer of. Another good feature is the auto-reimbursement in my checking account. I still wait for dentist reimbursements to come in the mail but my pet insurance company can send directly to my checking account. I can also see the claims on line before I get the paper copy in the mail..

Expensive premiums, slow reimbursement

I had my first reimbursements this year. First of all I learned that they do not use calendar years for reimbursements but your pet's birthday as the start of a new year so I paid two deductibles in 2017. Also, they were very slow examining my claim and it's been over 5 weeks since they said I would get my reimbursement checks and I still don't have them. I am looking for a more reasonable and customer friendly insurance company.
