Nationwide is good at poor customer service
Nationwide had been a good pet insurer for our family until recently when they more than tripled the monthly cost for less coverage. When I cancelled my account with them two days before my monthly payment is due, they took the payment out anyway and since they require payment one month in advance, they now have over $600 of mine that they will not refund for ten days. Not only that, I was not able to remove my credit card from their system when I cancelled. They are definitely not worth my time or money and I am happy to be insured under another company's policy. Poor customer service is obviously far more important to Nationwide than ensuring my dog's health.

Quick Claims Processing
First time having pet insurance and didn’t think I needed it. However, I’m grateful to have it as my puppy became sick. He’s had X-rays, blood work, ultrasound, and an endoscopy all of which have been covered by Pumpkin. The claims submittal is user friendly and response time expedient. You won’t regret signing up.

They increase your monthly payment by $20-30 every year
If you take your dog to the vet they will increase your monthly payment the next year. My dog had a $68 monthly rate and they raised it to $88/ month because of her vet history last year. But in then in the email they sent they claimed it was because of “inflation.” Really breaks trust with customers when narratives don’t line up. They lock you in at a low price. And then raise the price once your pet goes to the vet. And they know you can’t leave anywhere else because insurance companies don’t cover conditions that have already been verified by the vet. So you’re kinda stuck paying whatever they tell you to at that point. Super bummed because I really liked fetch insurance. I thought they really cared about pets, but now I realized it’s all about $$.
